Summary

This 2-year-old Brabus 800 offers a significant advantage for GCC buyers looking for supercar performance in a seven-seat layout without the wait times of a custom build. With 23,000 km, the mileage is perfectly aligned with typical UAE annual usage, while the Obsidian Black exterior remains the strongest resale choice for high-end SUVs in the region. Based on the GLS 63 AMG, this European-spec conversion delivers a level of exclusivity that rivals the Rolls-Royce Cullinan but with far more aggressive road presence and speed. For the owner who drives between Emirates regularly, the combination of massive torque and a refined nine-speed gearbox makes high-speed highway cruising effortless even in peak summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2024 GLS 800s

At 23,000 km, this vehicle sits exactly at the expected average for a luxury daily driver in the UAE market, where 20,000 to 25,000 km per year is the standard due to frequent inter-city travel. The Obsidian Black finish is a high-demand primary color in the GCC, ensuring it holds its value better than more adventurous custom wraps often found on Brabus builds. Being a 2-year-old example, it has already moved past the initial steep depreciation curve, representing a more stable asset than a zero-km equivalent.

BRABUS vs Lower Trims

The Brabus 800 conversion elevates the standard GLS 63 AMG by adding 188 hp and 150 Nm of torque via the B40S-800 PowerXtra kit. It features the signature Widestar body kit with functional carbon fiber aerodynamics and massive 24-inch Monoblock M Platinum Edition forged wheels that provide a much wider stance than the factory AMG. Inside, the Brabus Masterpiece interior adds bespoke diamond-stitched leather and carbon fiber trim that significantly outclasses the standard Mercedes-Benz cabin materials.

GLS 800 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the Brabus 800 offers superior acceleration and a higher seating capacity, making it the faster and more practical choice for large families. While the British rivals focus on traditional soft luxury, this Brabus leads in raw performance and tech-driven comfort, featuring a more robust infotainment system and better high-speed stability. It serves as a more aggressive alternative for owners who find the standard Maybach GLS too understated for the streets of Dubai or Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this high-performance V8 averages around 12 to 13.4 L/100km on a combined cycle, though GCC city traffic can see this rise during summer months. Maintenance is supported by an extensive network of authorized Mercedes-Benz centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, though specialized Brabus components may require specific regional partners. Resale value for Brabus-tuned flagships remains strong in the GCC, typically retaining higher interest than standard luxury SUVs due to their limited production and high-status appeal.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this SUV is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing an immense 800 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 3.8 seconds. This performance is vital for confident overtaking on fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road or the E11. The Brabus suspension module lowers the ride height by 25 mm, improving center of gravity for high-speed stability while maintaining the All-Wheel Drive capability needed for light sand or gravel surfaces during weekend escapes.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for ultimate climate control, featuring powerful GCC-spec air conditioning and ventilated seats that are essential for the local summer. The interior is finished in premium black leather with Arrow Wave quilting, providing a cool and comfortable environment even after hours in the sun. Rear passengers enjoy dedicated climate zones and ample legroom, ensuring executive-level comfort for the whole family during cross-border road trips.

Safety

Standard safety includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, which is highly effective for long desert highway drives. The 360-degree camera system is crucial for maneuvering this large SUV in tight urban parking, while Active Blind Spot Assist provides peace of mind on the UAE's multi-lane highways. Multiple airbags and a high-strength chassis derived from the standard GLS ensure top-tier protection for all seven occupants.

The bottom line

This Brabus 800 is the ideal choice for a buyer who demands hypercar-level speed without sacrificing family utility or GCC-market resale strength. It offers a rare opportunity to own a fully-sorted, high-spec European conversion that is mechanically ready for the regional climate.
