Summary

This 2024 Renault Express DCI is a versatile commercial van that bridges the gap between urban agility and serious hauling capability. With its white exterior—the most practical choice for heat reflection and resale value in the GCC—this low-mileage example is ideally suited for business owners requiring a robust, petrol-powered workhorse. The 1.6L engine offers a proven balance of reliability and performance for both city deliveries and longer inter-emirate runs. As a two-seater panel van, it maximizes utility without the complexity of larger heavy-duty vehicles. For a GCC buyer, the availability of a widespread Renault service network ensures long-term operational peace of mind.

This Car vs Other 2024 Expresses

With just 36,979 km, this Express is well below the average annual mileage typically seen for commercial vehicles in the GCC, which often exceed 40,000 km in their first year. The white exterior is the gold standard for regional resale, ensuring high demand when it comes time to upgrade your fleet.

DCI vs Lower Trims

While marketed as the DCI trim in specific regions, this petrol 1.6L model features essential GCC comforts including a high-output air conditioning system designed for extreme summer temperatures. It includes a reinforced bulkhead and lashing rings as standard, providing immediate readiness for professional cargo transport compared to base-spec international variants.

Express vs Segment Rivals

The Express leads competitors like the Toyota LiteAce in pure cargo volume, offering a substantial 3,300-litre capacity. Its 1.6L engine provides a more relaxed highway experience during long desert drives than the smaller displacements found in some rivals, while maintaining a record-breaking 716mm side door opening width for tighter urban loading zones.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.6L petrol engine delivers a combined 6.6 L/100km, keeping operational costs low in stop-start traffic and high-speed highway cruising. Renault’s authorized service centers are widely accessible across the UAE and KSA, typically requiring intervals every 10,000 km to maintain optimal performance in dusty conditions. Commercial Renaults maintain strong value retention due to their simplicity and durability compared to complex luxury alternatives.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 110 hp 1.6L engine, the Express reaches 100 km/h in 11.6 seconds, ensuring it can keep pace with fast-moving highway traffic even when loaded. The manual 5-speed transmission gives the driver total control over power delivery, while the front-wheel-drive layout provides predictable handling on paved emirate roads. Its 780 kg payload capacity makes it a leader for light-commercial logistics.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cabin is designed with commercial ergonomics in mind, featuring durable fabrics that resist wear and a dashboard optimized for quick access to storage. The air conditioning is specifically calibrated for the GCC, ensuring the cabin stays cool even during the hottest midday shifts. Numerous storage compartments, including a large overhead shelf, help keep the workspace organized.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist, which are vital for maintaining control when transporting heavy loads on varying surfaces. The van is equipped with ABS and emergency brake assist, along with front airbags and a digital rear-view assistant to provide visibility in a fully paneled configuration.

The bottom line

Perfect for small business owners or delivery fleets, this 2024 Renault Express offers nearly-new reliability with a significant saving over a showroom purchase.
