Summary

This 2025 BYD Qin Plus is a standout opportunity for GCC buyers, offering nearly delivery-mileage condition at just 1,100 km. As a 2025 model year in the preferred Grey exterior—a color known for its strong resale demand in the UAE—it represents the cutting edge of plug-in hybrid technology. While rivals struggle with fuel costs in stop-start traffic, this sedan provides over 100 km of pure electric driving for the daily commute. For weekend trips between Emirates, the record-breaking combined range eliminates the need for frequent stops. It is the ideal blend of modern efficiency and highway capability for the regional market.

This Car vs Other 2025 BYD QIN PLUSs

With only 1,100 km on the odometer, this vehicle is essentially brand new compared to the 20,000 km annual average for sedans in the GCC. The Grey metallic finish is a strategic choice for the local market, offering better heat reflection than darker tones and maintaining higher resale value. This specific unit provides a significant entry-point advantage into the 2025 model year without the wait times of a factory order.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

Even in this Standard configuration, the Qin Plus features the high-output 194 hp motor and the larger battery pack required for the extended 128 km electric range. It includes the signature 10.1-inch rotating touchscreen and DiLink 4.0 connectivity as standard, features that are often optional on base-tier competitors. GCC-essential equipment like rear AC vents and a high-resolution reverse camera are included to handle local climate and parking demands.

QIN PLUS vs Segment Rivals

The Qin Plus leads traditional rivals like the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic by offering a Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrain that can operate entirely without petrol for local errands. Its total range of over 2,000 km significantly outdistances the 700-800 km range typical of petrol-only competitors. Furthermore, the 2,718 mm wheelbase provides rear legroom that rivals mid-size sedans, making it a more practical choice for family use.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption is remarkably low, rated at approximately 3.8 L/100km when the battery is depleted, and near zero during city commutes. BYD has established a robust authorized service presence in the UAE and wider GCC, ensuring that spare parts and specialized hybrid maintenance are readily available. The Qin Plus is currently seeing strong value retention in the region as demand for high-efficiency NEVs (New Energy Vehicles) continues to outpace supply.

Performance & Capability

The combined 194 hp output allows for a sharp 0–100 km/h sprint of 7.6 seconds, providing confident overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. Unlike traditional hybrids, the DM-i system prioritizes electric drive, offering instant torque that is perfect for navigating heavy city traffic in Riyadh or Dubai. The E-CVT transmission ensures a smooth, shift-free experience that enhances cabin refinement at highway cruising speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for the high-temperature GCC climate, featuring powerful air conditioning and dedicated cooling for the rear passengers. The floating digital cockpit is centered around a rotating display that simplifies navigation and media control. With 450 liters of boot space, it easily accommodates groceries or airport luggage, while the acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road noise during long cross-border drives.

Safety

Safety is anchored by BYD’s Blade Battery technology, which is engineered to be industry-leading in thermal stability and puncture resistance. This trim comes standard with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and a 360-degree camera system to assist in tight urban parking. Advanced braking systems including Hydraulic Brake Assist and Traction Control provide necessary stability when encountering sand or sudden rain on regional roads.

The bottom line

For the tech-forward buyer who wants the efficiency of an EV without the range limitations of a battery-only car, this low-mileage 2025 Qin Plus is the premier choice in the UAE market today.
