Summary

This 2025 Changan UNI-V SPORT offers a compelling mix of futuristic fastback styling and surprising performance for the GCC market. With just 41,000 km, it sits well below the typical 50,000+ km expected for a car entering its second year of heavy highway use in the region. The White exterior is a strategic choice for local buyers, offering the highest thermal efficiency in the summer and ensuring the strongest possible resale value when you decide to upgrade. As the top-tier Sport trim, it introduces the 2.0T powertrain and Aisin 8-speed gearbox, providing a more robust driving experience than the base models often found in rental fleets. For anyone looking for a modern executive commuter that punches above its weight in technology and cabin cooling, this listing is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2025 Changan UNI-Vs

While many 2025 models are just entering the used market, this SPORT trim stands out due to its mileage-to-age ratio, which is slightly lower than the GCC annual average for a highway-commuter sedan. The White paint is the most sought-after color in the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, significantly easing the future trade-in process compared to bolder launch colors. Choosing the Sport trim over the 1.5L Elite ensures you have the mechanical longevity of the Aisin 8-speed transmission, which is better suited for the high-torque demands of regional driving.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

The SPORT trim is a significant mechanical upgrade over the Elite, swapping the 1.5L engine and DCT for a 2.2L turbo and a more durable 8-speed automatic transmission. Inside, this trim adds essential GCC comforts like ventilated front seats and a premium 10-speaker Sony audio system that aren't standard on base models. It also features the active retractable rear spoiler and an upgraded ADAS suite, including a 360-degree camera with a transparent chassis view for easier maneuvering in tight urban parking.

UNI-V vs Segment Rivals

The UNI-V leads rivals like the Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra by offering a 2.0L turbocharged engine at a price point where competitors usually offer naturally aspirated units. Its fastback liftback design provides 450 liters of boot space, offering more versatile cargo access than a traditional sedan trunk. Additionally, the cabin technology and dual-screen digital cockpit feel a full generation ahead of the more conservative interior layouts found in its Japanese segment counterparts.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency for the 2.0T engine averages approximately 7.1 L/100km, though this can rise in heavy Dubai or Riyadh stop-start traffic. Changan's authorized service network is now well-established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with parts availability significantly better than other emerging brands. While Chinese luxury sedans typically see 15% annual depreciation, the UNI-V's high demand among younger buyers and its GCC-spec status help it maintain better value retention than older sedan designs.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L Blue Whale engine produces 229 hp and 390 Nm of torque, allowing for a verified 0-100 km/h sprint of 6.5 seconds. This power is particularly useful for confident overtaking on high-speed motorways like the E11, where merging speed is critical. The Sport mode stiffens the electric steering and optimizes the Aisin gearbox for a more reactive feel, while the active aerodynamics help maintain stability during long-distance highway cruises across borders.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed specifically for high-temperature climates, featuring a powerful automatic air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents. The leather-appointed interior includes ventilated front seats, a must-have for the GCC summer, and a panoramic sunroof with a thick electric sunshade to block overhead heat. Acoustic glass and high-quality insulation keep the cabin remarkably quiet, even at highway speeds, shielding passengers from road noise and desert winds.

Safety

The SPORT trim comes equipped with a comprehensive L2 ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist, which are ideal for long desert drives. It features six airbags and Continental's third-generation Electronic Stability Control to manage traction on sandy or rain-slicked surfaces. Standard safety tech also includes Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, providing a layer of protection that is often an optional extra on its competitors.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a professional looking for a tech-heavy, sporty sedan that handles the UAE's heat and highways with ease while maintaining a low-mileage advantage.
