Summary

This 2025 Forthing U-Tour Premium is a standout choice for families seeking a modern, high-tech seven-seater with zero-mileage peace of mind. While the white exterior ensures strong resale value in the GCC, the Premium trim elevates the experience with Nappa leather upholstery and an intelligent ADAS suite. It bridges the gap between a flexible MPV and a stylish SUV, offering a level of interior refinement that rivals established brands at a more accessible price point. For GCC owners, the Mitsubishi-derived powertrain and dual-clutch transmission provide a reliable, smooth drive perfect for both city commutes and long interstate runs.

This Car vs Other 2025 Forthing U-Tours

With just 18 km on the odometer, this U-Tour is essentially a brand-new vehicle, offering a significant advantage over typical high-mileage family cars in the GCC. The white exterior is the most preferred color for the region’s climate, ensuring better thermal management and maximum resale appeal. In a market where family vehicles often accumulate 25,000 km annually, starting with near-zero mileage represents a long-term value play.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience with ventilated and heated first and second-row seats, a must-have for the GCC summer. It adds the full 360-degree panoramic camera system and a suite of Level 2+ driving assistance features that are typically optional on lower trims. You also get the dual 10.25-inch integrated displays and the intelligent induction electric tailgate, providing a luxury feel that basic trims lack.

U-Tour vs Segment Rivals

The Forthing U-Tour leads its class in passenger comfort, featuring true executive-style captain chairs in the second row that offer more legroom than the Kia Carnival or Hyundai Staria. Its 1.5-litre turbocharged engine provides a superior balance of 197 hp and fuel efficiency compared to the larger naturally aspirated engines found in traditional MPVs. The U-Tour’s compact 4.85-meter footprint also makes it much easier to park in tight Dubai or Riyadh malls than full-size competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is a highlight, with a combined rating of 6.6 L/100km, helping to offset the fuel costs of daily family runs. Forthing is supported by a growing authorized service network across the UAE and wider GCC, typically requiring service every 10,000 km. While Chinese brands are still establishing their long-term depreciation curves, the U-Tour’s use of a Mitsubishi-sourced engine and Magna gearbox provides a strong reliability signal that helps protect value at the 3-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine delivers a surprising 197 hp and 285 Nm of torque, ensuring snappy acceleration for highway merging and overtaking even with a full passenger load. The 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission is tuned for smoothness, providing a car-like driving experience rather than the bulky feel of a traditional van. Front-wheel drive and a professional Magna-tuned chassis provide stable handling for long highway journeys across the emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is designed as a 'first-class' lounge, featuring a 2+2+3 layout with automatic seat adjustments and a massage function for the driver. Rear passengers are well-served by dedicated climate vents for all three rows and folding tray tables for the middle row. Cabin insulation is a priority, utilizing a 'deep-sea' NVH silence system to keep the interior cool and quiet against the outside heat and road noise.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on this Premium trim, featuring 8 airbags and a 5-star C-NCAP rating. The L2+ intelligent driving suite includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Warning, which are invaluable for safety on fast-moving GCC highways. The 360-degree camera with a transparent chassis view makes navigating tight urban spaces and school drop-off zones effortless and secure.

The bottom line

This Forthing U-Tour is ideal for the tech-savvy GCC family who wants the luxury of captain-chair seating and modern ADAS safety without the premium price tag of a European brand.
