Summary

This 2025 SL63 AMG E PERFORMANCE represents the absolute peak of the R232 generation, featuring the most powerful powertrain ever fitted to an SL. With just 1,700 km on the odometer, it is practically new and offers a significant buying advantage over typical high-mileage examples in the UAE market. The vibrant Yellow exterior is a bold choice that stands out in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi supercar scene, historically holding strong appeal for enthusiast buyers in the region. As a plug-in hybrid, it delivers instantaneous torque for city sprints and effortless power for long-distance cruising across the Emirates. For the GCC buyer, this is a rare opportunity to own a flagship roadster that combines cutting-edge Formula 1-derived technology with legendary Mercedes-Benz refinement.

This Car vs Other 2025 SL63 AMGs

With only 1,700 km, this vehicle is significantly below the average annual mileage for GCC-based grand tourers, which typically cover 20,000 km per year. The E PERFORMANCE trim is the flagship variant, often commanding a long waiting list at local dealerships compared to the standard V8 models. Its condition reflects a vehicle that has been stored in a climate-controlled environment, preserving the paint and cabin materials against the harsh local sun.

E PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The E PERFORMANCE adds a rear-mounted electric motor and a high-performance battery to the already potent 4.0L V8, increasing total output by over 200 hp compared to the standard SL63. It comes standard with the most advanced chassis tech Mercedes-AMG offers, including active roll stabilization and ceramic composite brakes, which provide superior fade resistance in high-temperature GCC driving. Inside, it features the full suite of MBUX tech and augmented reality navigation as standard, features that are often optional on lower trims.

SL63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

Against rivals like the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet and Ferrari Roma Spider, the SL63 E PERFORMANCE leads in total torque output, delivering a massive 1,420 Nm for unmatched overtaking power on highways like E11. Its fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system provides more stable handling in the occasional sandy conditions found on coastal roads compared to rear-wheel-drive competitors. Furthermore, the SL offers a more sophisticated convertible roof mechanism and a larger digital interface tailored for high-tech executive use.

Running Costs & Resale

This GCC-spec model benefits from a robust authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring easy access to specialized hybrid technicians. Fuel consumption is remarkably efficient for its class at 7.7 L/100km (weighted combined), though real-world figures in stop-start city traffic will rely on its plug-in hybrid capability. Resale value for flagship AMG models remains strong in the GCC, especially for low-mileage examples with regional warranty coverage.

Performance & Capability

The combined 805 hp output allows for a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 2.9 seconds, making it one of the fastest convertibles available globally. The car features rear-axle steering as standard, which significantly reduces the turning circle, making it surprisingly agile in tight urban parking and multi-story garages. Drivers can choose from eight AMG DYNAMIC SELECT programs, ranging from a silent 'Electric' mode for early morning departures to 'Race' mode for sessions at the Dubai Autodrome.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for the GCC climate, featuring highly effective ventilated seats and the AIRSCARF neck-level heating system for open-top driving during cooler winter nights. The 11.9-inch central touchscreen is tilt-adjustable to prevent glare from the desert sun, a thoughtful detail for local drivers. Advanced acoustic insulation ensures that even with the soft top up, the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary from external heat and highway noise.

Safety

This flagship trim includes the full Driver Assistance Package as standard, featuring Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist for relaxed long-distance travel between Emirates. Safety is further enhanced by 360-degree cameras and specialized sensors that detect side-impact risks, which are particularly useful in fast-moving, multi-lane traffic. The inclusion of high-performance ceramic brakes ensures the shortest possible stopping distances even under extreme thermal load.

The bottom line

For the collector or enthusiast who demands the absolute maximum in performance without sacrificing Mercedes luxury, this low-mileage E PERFORMANCE is the premier choice in the current GCC market.
