Summary

This 2025 MG RX5 Luxury is an exceptional opportunity, featuring significantly low mileage for a vehicle in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, maintaining its appeal and resale value by effectively masking the fine dust common in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As the top-tier Luxury trim, it offers a sophisticated suite of technology and comfort features that distinguish it from the entry-level models. For any buyer looking for a modern, tech-focused SUV that remains under a comprehensive manufacturer warranty, this listing represents a strategic balance of nearly-new condition and excellent value retention. MG’s growing authorized service network across the Emirates and neighboring countries ensures long-term ownership is both convenient and well-supported.

This Car vs Other 2025 RX5s

With just 13,038 km on the odometer, this RX5 is effectively in its break-in period, offering a major advantage over typical 2025 models that have already seen heavy highway use between emirates. The Grey paintwork is a top-tier choice for GCC resale, as it resists the fading effects of intense sun better than darker shades while looking cleaner for longer. Buyers can expect this specific car to hold a price premium in the used market due to its combination of low mileage and the most desirable color-trim pairing.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim adds essential high-end features that GCC buyers prioritize, most notably the 360° parking camera and a massive 14.1-inch vertical touchscreen. Unlike the Standard and Comfort trims, this model includes a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for a fully modernized cockpit. It also upgrades safety with side and curtain airbags, providing a total of 6 compared to the 2 or 3 found in lower variants.

RX5 vs Segment Rivals

The RX5 competes directly with the Hyundai Tucson and Nissan X-Trail, leading the segment in standard cabin technology for the price point. While rivals often require expensive options for large digital displays, the RX5 includes its flagship 14.1-inch screen as part of the Luxury package. Its 1.5L turbocharged engine is specifically tuned for a balance of city agility and efficient highway cruising, making it a favorite for young professionals in Dubai and Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the 1.5L turbo averages roughly 6.8 L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic can see this rise to 9–11 L/100km. Service intervals are every 10,000 km or 6 months, and with MG’s extensive network of authorized centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, maintenance is both affordable and accessible. The RX5 has shown strong value retention in the region, typically retaining 60-70% of its value after three years, outperforming many Chinese-market competitors.

Performance & Capability

The 171 hp turbocharged engine provides a punchy 275 Nm of torque, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving GCC highways like E11. Paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), the power delivery is smooth and responsive for urban commuting. With a top speed of 190 km/h and optimized suspension to handle road imperfections, it offers a stable and confident ride for long-distance family road trips across the region.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed for the extreme GCC heat, the RX5 features a powerful multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to keep all five passengers cool. The Luxury trim features premium leather seats and a panoramic sunroof that adds a sense of immense space to the cabin. The boot is highly versatile, offering 430 litres of space which expands to 1,639 litres with the rear seats folded flat, perfect for weekend getaways.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Luxury trim, which comes standard with a full suite of 6 airbags, including front, side, and curtain protection. Active safety features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Cornering Brake Control are vital for maintaining traction on sand-dusted roads. The 360° camera system and front/rear parking sensors make navigating tight city parking spaces in malls and residential towers stress-free.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a tech-savvy family or professional seeking a top-spec, low-mileage SUV that is still under warranty and perfectly prepared for GCC conditions.
