Summary

This 2025 MINI Countryman SE represents a significant leap for the brand as its first fully electric all-wheel-drive SUV, offering a blend of iconic heritage and zero-emission performance. With just 500 km on the odometer, this vehicle is essentially in showroom condition and presents a prime opportunity to bypass dealership waitlists for the newest generation. The SE trim is the high-output choice in the electric lineup, providing a substantial 300+ horsepower that ensures MINI's signature go-kart handling translates perfectly to the electric era. Finished in high-visibility Red—a color with historically strong appeal in the UAE for smaller European cars—it offers a unique balance of practicality and personality. For a GCC buyer, this model serves as an ideal urban commuter that can comfortably handle the school run or inter-emirate highway trips thanks to its expanded interior dimensions and dual-motor stability.

This Car vs Other 2025 Countrymans

With a mileage of only 500 km, this vehicle is categorized as nearly-new in the GCC market, where the average annual usage typically exceeds 20,000 km. It offers the benefit of a 1-year-old vehicle's remaining factory support while having seen virtually no road wear. The bold Red exterior is a vibrant alternative to the common silver and white fleet, likely to hold interest well for buyers seeking the classic MINI aesthetic.

SE vs Lower Trims

The SE trim is a major step up from the base electric models, adding a second electric motor to provide the ALL4 all-wheel-drive system essential for stability on sand-dusted GCC roads. It provides nearly 100 extra horsepower compared to the standard electric variant and typically includes higher-tier standard equipment such as the panoramic glass roof, larger 18-inch wheels, and the innovative 9.4-inch circular OLED display.

Countryman vs Segment Rivals

The Countryman SE competes directly with the BMW iX1 and Volvo XC40 Recharge. While its rivals lean toward traditional luxury, the MINI leads with its unique character, more compact turning circle for tight Dubai parking, and a heritage-inspired interior that features recycled textile surfaces not found in more corporate competitors. Its 433 km WLTP range makes it highly competitive for daily use across the UAE.

Running Costs & Resale

As a fully electric vehicle, running costs are significantly lower than petrol equivalents, with no oil changes or spark plug replacements required. MINI's authorized service centers are well-established across major GCC cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, ensuring reliable support. While European EVs initially depreciate faster than Japanese petrol SUVs, the latest generation Countryman maintains better-than-average retention due to the strong local following for the brand and the growing demand for premium electric crossovers.

Performance & Capability

The dual-motor setup delivers 494 Nm of torque instantly, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.6 seconds—performance that rivals many dedicated sports cars at traffic lights. The ALL4 system provides intelligent power distribution that is particularly useful for maintaining traction during occasional rain or on gravel surfaces. Despite its electric nature, it maintains a top speed of 180 km/h, ensuring it feels composed during high-speed highway cruising between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is dominated by a world-first circular OLED display that manages all infotainment and climate functions with high-resolution clarity. For the GCC climate, the dual-zone automatic climate control is highly effective, and this generation offers significantly more rear legroom and headroom than its predecessor, comfortably seating five adults. High-quality Vescin vegan leather ensures the cabin remains durable and easy to maintain in dusty environments.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this trim includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assistance. The 360° camera and Parking Assistant Plus are invaluable for navigating congested urban areas, while the standard blind-spot monitoring provides essential peace of mind on fast-moving multi-lane highways like Sheikh Zayed Road.

The bottom line

This nearly-new 2025 Countryman SE is the perfect acquisition for a tech-forward driver wanting premium European style without the maintenance overhead of a petrol engine.
