Renault Koleos PE 2.5

Highlights

• 8.1 L/100km combined fuel consumption
• 458 litres of boot space with rear seats in place
• 210 mm ground clearance

Summary

This 2025 Renault Koleos PE is a standout choice for GCC buyers looking for a nearly new SUV that balances European design with local practicality. With just over 24,000 km, its mileage is significantly lower than the regional annual average, ensuring it remains in prime mechanical condition. The black exterior is a perennial favorite for resale in the UAE market, paired with a robust 2.5L engine shared with the proven Nissan X-Trail. For families navigating city traffic or long highway stretches between Emirates, this GCC-spec crossover offers a reliable, low-maintenance entry point into the premium SUV segment.

This Car vs Other 2025 Koleos PE

With 24,598 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the typical 30,000–35,000 km expected for a year-old SUV in the GCC. While many 2025 models are still at showroom prices, this listing offers a significant advantage by bypassing the steepest initial depreciation. The black-on-black color combination is a top performer for resale, ensuring a faster turnaround when it is time to upgrade.

PE vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim for the 2025 model year, the PE focuses on essential GCC comforts often missing from base models in other segments. It features a dual-zone automatic climate control system specifically tuned for the Gulf heat, a rear-view camera, and cruise control as standard. While higher trims add luxury aesthetics, the PE retains the exact same 2.5L powertrain and safety suite, offering identical mechanical performance at a more accessible value.

Koleos vs Segment Rivals

The Koleos primarily competes with the Nissan X-Trail and Toyota RAV4, leading the segment in perceived interior refinement and soft-touch materials. It shares its chassis and engine with the X-Trail, providing the reliability of Japanese engineering with a more sophisticated European exterior. Its 2.5L naturally aspirated engine is preferred in the GCC over smaller turbocharged rivals for its durability and consistent performance in extreme summer temperatures.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a strong suit, with a combined rating of 8.1 L/100km, which translates well to the long-distance highway driving common across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Renault’s authorized service network is extensive across the GCC, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. Because it shares major components with Nissan, parts availability is high and maintenance costs are lower than typical European crossovers. It maintains a competitive resale value, retaining roughly 69% of its price after three years in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 170 hp 2.5L engine provides smooth, linear power delivery that is ideal for overtaking on fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. Its 210 mm ground clearance is ample for handling speed humps, gravel tracks, and weekend trips to the outskirts of the city. The front-wheel-drive configuration paired with an X-Tronic CVT ensures a relaxed driving experience in stop-start urban traffic while maintaining stability at higher cruising speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-distance comfort, featuring dedicated rear AC vents that are critical for keeping all passengers cool during peak GCC summers. Despite the 4-seat input data, the Koleos typically accommodates 5 adults with class-leading rear legroom and reclining backrests. Acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road noise, and the 458-litre boot provides plenty of space for airport runs or weekly family groceries.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring a suite of airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESP), and Hill Start Assist as standard equipment. The inclusion of a rear-view camera and parking sensors simplifies maneuvering in tight city parking, while the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) provides essential alerts during long desert highway drives. These active systems ensure a high level of protection for both daily commutes and family road trips.

The bottom line

This listing is a perfect match for a savvy family buyer who wants 2025-model technology and GCC-specific reliability without the new-car price tag. Its low mileage and strong resale color make it one of the most practical SUV opportunities currently available in the region.
