Summary

The 2025 Land Cruiser VXR in the new 250-series body represents a major shift toward efficiency without losing its legendary off-road DNA. This white GCC-spec unit offers the perfect balance of modern road manners and desert-ready hardware, featuring the sought-after turbo powertrain that performs exceptionally well in the region's heat. With 45,000 km, this vehicle is barely broken in for a Toyota and benefits from the VXR's flagship luxury appointments that rivals struggle to match. As a GCC-compliant model, it features a dual-tank system totaling 110 litres, specifically engineered for the long-distance highway hauls between emirates and across borders. This is a rare opportunity to own the latest generation of a regional icon that holds its value better than almost any other vehicle in the market.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

With 45,000 km in its first year, this vehicle is slightly above average mileage for a typical GCC commuter but well within the range for a long-distance regional traveler. The white exterior remains the gold standard for resale in the Middle East, offering the best heat reflection and widest appeal for future buyers. Compared to other 2025 models currently on the market, this unit offers a proven track record of early-series reliability in local conditions.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim elevates the 250-series from a capable tool to a luxury flagship, adding essential GCC features like ventilated seats and an advanced 360-degree multi-terrain monitor. While lower trims rely on basic cloth or synthetic interiors, the VXR provides premium leather upholstery and a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display as standard. It also benefits from upgraded sound insulation and a more sophisticated driver-assistance suite, making it far better suited for daily executive duties in Dubai or Riyadh.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Against competitors like the Nissan Patrol and Land Rover Defender, the Land Cruiser leads with its massive 110-litre fuel capacity, essential for crossing the Empty Quarter or long treks to Salalah. The 2.4-litre turbo engine provides a more efficient alternative to traditional V8 rivals while maintaining a robust body-on-frame construction that European monocoque competitors lack. Toyota’s unparalleled service footprint across every GCC country gives it a logistics advantage that no other brand can realistically challenge.

Running Costs & Resale

This petrol-turbo powertrain is designed to deliver roughly 10.6 km/L, a significant improvement over the outgoing V6 models in stop-start city traffic. Service intervals typically occur every 10,000 km, and with the most extensive authorized service network in the region, maintenance is convenient in any GCC city. Land Cruisers are famous for having the lowest depreciation rates in the Middle East, often retaining over 85% of their value after the first three years.

Performance & Capability

The 267 hp turbocharged engine is paired with a responsive 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering peak torque from just 1,700 RPM for effortless highway overtaking. It features 215 mm of ground clearance and a selectable low-range transfer case, ensuring it is as capable on the Liwa dunes as it is on Sheikh Zayed Road. The full-time all-wheel-drive system provides superior stability during sudden summer rainstorms or on loose gravel tracks.

Comfort & Cabin

The VXR cabin is a sanctuary against the elements, featuring a high-output GCC-spec air conditioning system with dedicated vents for all three rows. The 7-seat configuration is genuinely versatile, with the VXR trim offering power-folding adjustments for the third row to maximize cargo space. Acoustic glass and improved seals significantly reduce wind noise during high-speed highway cruising, ensuring the premium audio system remains clear even at 120 km/h.

Safety

Safety is managed by the latest Toyota Safety Sense suite, which includes pre-collision systems, lane departure alerts, and adaptive cruise control—invaluable for long desert drives. The VXR comes standard with a comprehensive airbag system and a 360-degree camera that provides a 'see-through' view of the terrain beneath the car. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts provide essential protection in the fast-moving multi-lane traffic common in major GCC hubs.

The bottom line

For the buyer who needs a 2025 flagship that handles the office run and the desert weekend with equal poise, this VXR is the most secure investment in the GCC market today.
