Summary

This 2026 Changan CS75 Plus Sport offers a compelling combination of turbocharged performance and high-end technology that rivals more expensive Japanese and European crossovers. As a current model-year vehicle, it benefits from the latest design updates, featuring a bold V-shaped grille and a futuristic interior dominated by high-resolution screens. The grey exterior is a highly strategic choice for the GCC market, effectively masking desert dust while maintaining one of the strongest resale values in the region. For buyers seeking a powerful 2.0-liter engine paired with a reliable Aisin 8-speed transmission, this Sport trim delivers a level of equipment that typically requires a significant premium in this segment. The most important consideration for a GCC owner is the extensive dealer and service network, ensuring that maintenance and parts remain accessible across the Emirates and beyond.

This Car vs Other 2026 CS75 Pluss

With zero years of vehicle age, this 2026 model represents the cutting edge of Changan's SUV lineup, featuring the most refined software and safety calibrations available. While many listings in the GCC market feature the 1.5L engine to prioritize economy, this 2.0L Sport variant is specifically suited for those who frequently drive on high-speed arterial roads like E11. The grey paint is a preferred local choice, balancing aesthetic appeal with excellent heat and dust resistance for long-term ownership.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

The Sport trim is a significant step up from the base Classic, swapping the standard 1.5L unit for a more robust 2.0L turbocharged engine. It adds essential GCC features including a 360-degree panoramic camera system, a larger panoramic sunroof, and a more aggressive exterior aesthetic with larger alloy wheels. Furthermore, the Sport trim integrates a more advanced ADAS suite, providing Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities that are often optional or unavailable on lower grades.

CS75 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The CS75 Plus competes directly with the Toyota RAV4 and Hyundai Tucson, offering significantly more horsepower and cabin technology for a similar or lower price point. Its use of a Japanese-sourced Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission gives it a durability advantage over rivals utilizing CVT or dual-clutch systems in the extreme heat of the Gulf. Additionally, the interior space and boot volume of 620 liters lead many competitors, making it a superior choice for family road trips.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0T engine averages between 7.15 and 7.8 L/100km on the highway, though city driving in heavy GCC traffic will see this increase. Changan has established a massive service footprint across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with service intervals typically every 10,000 km, ensuring lower maintenance hurdles than newer, less-established brands. While Japanese rivals hold value exceptionally well, the CS75 Plus has shown the strongest value retention among Chinese SUVs in the GCC, depreciating at a competitive rate due to high demand in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 7.3-second 0-100 km/h sprint, which provides confident overtaking power on fast-moving highways. The 2.0L Blue Whale engine produces 390 Nm of torque, ensuring the vehicle remains composed even when fully loaded with five passengers and luggage. While primarily a front-wheel-drive city SUV, its 190 mm of ground clearance and dedicated drive modes allow it to handle gravel tracks and weekend camping trips with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the long-distance GCC commute, featuring ergonomic leather seats and a multi-screen digital cockpit that includes a dedicated passenger display. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for regional summers, complemented by rear vents and a large panoramic sunroof with a high-quality sunblind to manage cabin temperatures. High-quality acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road noise during high-speed travel between emirates.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Sport trim, which comes standard with six airbags and a comprehensive suite of active systems. The Full ADAS suite includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) for relaxed highway driving, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) to prevent fatigue-related accidents, and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). The 360-degree camera system is particularly useful for navigating tight urban parking spaces in Dubai and Riyadh.

The bottom line

This 2026 Changan CS75 Plus Sport is the ideal choice for a tech-focused family driver who refuses to sacrifice performance for value. It represents a peak opportunity to own a current-model SUV with a high-demand color and the most desirable engine configuration in the region.
