Summary

This 2026 Tiggo 9 Premium represents a significant leap for the brand, offering a high-specification flagship experience that rivals established Japanese seven-seaters. As a zero-year-old vehicle in the versatile Grey finish, it occupies a strong resale position in the UAE market where neutral tones are highly sought after. This specific trim enhances the family commute with sophisticated cabin tech and a capable all-wheel-drive system suited for both city rain and sandy weekend excursions. For a GCC buyer, the combination of a brand-new platform and the comprehensive local warranty makes this one of the most logical upgrades in the mid-size SUV segment today.

This Car vs Other 2026 Tiggo 9s

As a brand-new vehicle with zero mileage, this Tiggo 9 offers a full lifecycle advantage compared to others that may have already begun their service clock. The Grey exterior is a strategic choice for the GCC, maintaining its aesthetic appeal better than darker shades in the intense sun while holding stronger residual value. Choosing a car of this age ensures you benefit from the very latest 2026-year software updates and the most recent suspension tuning.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim is a substantial step up from the base Comfort level, adding essential UAE luxuries like ventilated and massaging front seats. It upgrades the cabin experience with a 14-speaker Sony surround sound system and a high-definition head-up display that helps keep eyes on the road during fast-moving highway traffic. Safety is also significantly bolstered, increasing the airbag count to 10 and adding a 540-degree panoramic camera system for effortless parking in tight urban spaces.

Tiggo 9 vs Segment Rivals

The Tiggo 9 is frequently cross-shopped with the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe, where it leads on standard technology features for the price point. While rivals often charge extra for advanced driver assistance, the Tiggo 9 includes a full Level 2 suite as standard. Its 70-litre fuel tank is specifically geared for long-distance cruising across the Emirates, providing a greater range than many smaller-tanked competitors in the same class.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.0L turbo powertrain typically averages around 7.5 to 8.5 L/100km, performing efficiently on long highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Service intervals are set at 10,000 km, supported by an expanding authorized service network across the UAE and the wider GCC, including dedicated centers in major cities like Riyadh and Muscat. Resale value for Chery's new generation of SUVs has stabilized significantly in the local market, benefiting from a high-quality build that competes well with Korean alternatives.

Performance & Capability

The 257 hp turbocharged engine provides a top speed of 205 km/h, ensuring confident overtaking on multi-lane highways. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system features seven selectable drive modes, including specific settings for Sand and Off-Road that are invaluable for GCC weekend adventures. Its 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, providing a refined power delivery that remains composed even when the vehicle is fully loaded with seven passengers.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is designed for maximum family flexibility, featuring dedicated third-row AC vents to combat the extreme summer heat. Acoustic glass and premium leather upholstery create a quiet, insulated environment that feels far above its price bracket. The massive 15.6-inch central display is powered by high-speed processing, ensuring the navigation and climate controls remain responsive even in peak temperatures.

Safety

Standard safety on the Premium trim is comprehensive, featuring 10 airbags including a front-center airbag to prevent passenger collision. The full ADAS suite includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Jam Assist, which is a massive convenience in stop-start Dubai traffic, and Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Emergency Braking. Blind-spot monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide essential visibility for the wide-bodied highway driving typical of the region.

The bottom line

This 2026 Tiggo 9 Premium is the ideal choice for a tech-conscious family looking for a brand-new, high-spec SUV that doesn't carry a premium European price tag. It offers the perfect balance of luxury features and GCC-ready cooling systems in a high-resale color.
