Summary

This 2026 RAM 1500 RHO represents a significant shift in the performance pickup market, replacing the TRX with a lighter, more agile Hurricane High-Output powertrain. The Green exterior is a standout choice in the GCC, offering a unique alternative to the standard palette while maintaining the high resale demand typical for wide-body performance trucks. Its 540-horsepower engine provides exceptional highway overtaking capability, while the advanced Bilstein suspension makes it one of the few vehicles genuinely capable of high-speed desert crossing. For the GCC buyer, this truck delivers the aggressive presence of a super-truck with improved daily usability and cooling efficiency suited for extreme temperatures. It is a modern performance flagship that balances raw power with the refined interior RAM is known for.

This Car vs Other 2026 RAM 1500s

As a brand-new 2026 model, this RHO represents the absolute peak of current RAM engineering before any significant wear can occur. In the GCC market, where highway-heavy driving often leads to high annual mileage, a fresh model like this provides a significant advantage in long-term reliability and factory support. The Green finish is a distinct, high-character choice that typically performs well in the UAE and Saudi markets among enthusiasts seeking a unique but premium aesthetic.

RHO vs Lower Trims

The RHO sits significantly above the Rebel, adding the 540-hp High-Output Hurricane engine over the standard 420-hp version. It gains the specialized Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shock system and a wider track derived from the TRX for superior high-speed stability. Inside, the RHO adds a dedicated passenger-side touchscreen and carbon fiber accents that are not standard on mainstream 1500 trims.

1500 vs Segment Rivals

The RAM 1500 RHO leads the Ford F-150 Raptor in raw power, offering 90 more horsepower and a faster 0–100 km/h time. For GCC long-distance driving, its 125-litre fuel tank provides substantial range compared to many smaller-displacement rivals. The interior refinement and the massive 14.5-inch vertical touchscreen sets a higher standard for cabin technology than the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 15.9 L/100km combined, with highway driving benefiting from the efficient 8-speed automatic during long trans-emirate trips. The Hurricane engine requires premium 95 or 98 octane fuel to maintain its performance ratings in the high GCC heat. RAM maintains a strong authorized service network across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and expert maintenance are readily available. Value retention for high-performance RAM trims remains among the highest in the pickup segment, historically depreciating slower than standard work-trims.

Performance & Capability

The 540-hp twin-turbo Hurricane engine delivers a relentless 706 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.6 seconds. With 300 mm of ground clearance and 14 inches of rear suspension travel, it is purpose-built for high-speed dune bashing and rough wadi terrain. It retains practical utility with a braked towing capacity of approximately 3,792 kg, making it a capable companion for hauling boats or trailers across the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a class-leader in luxury, featuring standard ventilated front seats and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof that includes high-quality thermal insulation for the summer. The dual-zone climate control is specifically tuned for rapid cooling in 45°C+ temperatures, supplemented by rear-seat cooling vents for all five passengers. Technology is anchored by the Uconnect 5 system and a premium Harman Kardon audio setup that provides acoustic clarity even at highway speeds.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive ADAS suite with Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Path Detection, essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways like the E11. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go makes long-distance desert drives less fatiguing, while the 360-degree Surround View camera system is vital for parking such a wide-body vehicle in urban areas. Electronic Roll Mitigation and specialized off-road traction modes ensure stability on loose sand and gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

This 2026 RAM 1500 RHO is the ideal choice for an enthusiast who wants TRX-level presence and desert capability with the modern efficiency and tech of the new Hurricane platform. It is a rare opportunity to own the segment's newest performance leader in a standout color with full GCC-spec peace of mind.
