1974 BMW 3.0 CS

This beautiful E9 generation 3.0 CS was delivered new to Portugal in 1974, restored in 2001 and exported to KSA in 2017. Since 2017 (under current ownership) the car has received prompt service works at reputable Dubai workshops, and has remained in shaded undergound storage while not in use.

The 3.0 litre inline 6-cylinder engine is currently equipped with Weber carburetors (a pair of Zeniths also accompany the sale) and a 4 speed gearbox.

This 3.0 CS is a fine grand tourer; with its newly installed Bilstein shocks it absorbs the bumps beautifully, while still maintaining excellent steering feel and cornering stability.

Despite its comfortable super saloon looks, the E9 has true sporting credentials having been the base car for the famous 3.0 CSL “Batmobile”. The racing versions of which garnered numerous victories, including six European Touring Car Championships between 1973 and 1979 and class wins at endurance races at Daytona, Le Mans, and Spa.

This example is also fitted with an original set of Alpina wheels.
