Few cars on earth distil the pure essence of driving quite like a Caterham, and this 1998 240 Duratec is the real deal. Built around the legendary Series 3 tubular steel chassis and powered by a Mountune built 2.0 litre Duratec engine producing a thrilling 240 bhp at 8,500 rpm, this is a machine that demands to be driven with every ounce of enthusiasm you have. With just 5,114 km on the clock, it is essentially a brand new experience waiting to happen.
The specification list reads like a motorsport wish list. A 6 speed Quaife sequential gearbox puts that power firmly in your hands, the adjustable Bilstein suspension and De Dion rear end with Watts linkage ensure razor sharp handling, and ventilated front discs with quad piston calipers deliver the stopping power to match. Composite Tillet race seats, a 4 point racing harness, a plumbed in fire extinguisher and a master battery isolator switch mean this Caterham is as seriously sorted as they come.
This is a once in a generation opportunity to own one of the most focused and exciting driver's cars ever built, presented in outstanding condition and available for cash purchase. Contact the team at RMA Motors today and make it yours before someone else does.
