Summary

This 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 Sports Convertible represents a prime opportunity for those seeking a premium open-top experience with a proven 3.5L V6 engine. Having covered 140,000 km, its mileage is significantly below the typical GCC average for its age, suggesting a well-preserved mechanical life. The white exterior is the highest-demand resale color in the region, ensuring better value retention when it's time to upgrade. As a Sports trim, it offers sharper aesthetic and handling characteristics over the base model, making it a standout choice in the luxury convertible segment. For the GCC owner, this model provides the ideal balance of prestige, reliability, and cooling performance needed for year-round coastal drives.

This Car vs Other 2013 E350s

With 140,000 km on the odometer, this E350 has been driven approximately 11,500 km per year, which is nearly 50% less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The white exterior is a major advantage for local resale, as it is the most sought-after color in the GCC used market due to its heat-reflective properties. This lower-than-average mileage combined with a GCC-spec configuration makes it a more reliable and higher-value proposition than high-mileage equivalents or non-regional imports.

SPORTS vs Lower Trims

The Sports trim elevates the E350 from a standard luxury cruiser to a more driver-focused machine by adding 18-inch AMG-style alloy wheels and a firmer, sport-tuned suspension that improves high-speed stability on the E11. Inside, the trim often includes stainless steel pedals and a flat-bottom steering wheel, giving the cabin a more modern feel. GCC buyers benefit from the enhanced cooling efficiency and more aggressive aero styling that typically accompanies the Sports package upgrades over the base Elegance or Luxury trims.

E350 vs Segment Rivals

The E350 Convertible leads the BMW 4 Series and Audi A5 of the same era in terms of pure cruising refinement and interior space for four adults. Its AIRCAP system, designed to reduce cabin turbulence at highway speeds, is a feature rivals struggle to match, making it exceptionally comfortable for inter-city trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Additionally, the naturally aspirated V6 provides a smoother power delivery and simpler long-term maintenance compared to the turbocharged engines found in many of its contemporaries.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 10 L/100km in city traffic and drops toward 7 L/100km during long highway stretches across the Emirates. Maintenance is supported by an extensive network of authorized Mercedes-Benz service centers across every GCC country, ensuring parts are readily available even for this 2013 model year. While European luxury cars typically depreciate by 12–18% annually in the GCC, the E-Class Convertible retains its value better than the S-Class or smaller SLK due to its practical four-seat layout and high demand in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The E350 delivers 292 hp from its 3.5-liter V6, propelling the car to 100 km/h in a swift 6.4 seconds. This power is managed by the 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission, which is optimized for smooth gear changes and efficient highway cruising at the 140 km/h limit. Rear-wheel drive dynamics ensure a classic sports car feel, while the electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h demonstrates the car's underlying German engineering pedigree, designed to handle high-speed travel with absolute composure.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed for the ultimate open-air experience, the cabin features four genuine seats upholstered in premium materials that resist GCC sun damage better than entry-level leatherette. The climate control system is engineered to maintain cooling even with the top down in moderate heat, supplemented by dedicated rear vents and a robust insulation layer in the fabric roof for summer months. The COMAND infotainment system and premium audio ensure that even long-distance drives across the border remain entertaining and comfortable for all passengers.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include a comprehensive suite of airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and Pre-Safe technology that prepares the cabin for a collision. For the GCC driver, the inclusion of Attention Assist is particularly valuable for long, straight desert highway drives, while the roll-over protection bars provide peace of mind in the convertible format. Blind-spot monitoring and adaptive braking technology further assist in navigating fast-moving multi-lane city traffic.

The bottom line

This is a well-maintained, lower-mileage GCC-spec convertible perfect for an enthusiast who wants Mercedes-Benz prestige and reliable V6 performance at a fraction of its original cost.
