Summary

This Audi RS4 represents a rare opportunity for GCC enthusiasts, featuring one of the last high-revving, naturally aspirated V8 engines ever fitted to a station wagon. With only 36,379 km over 12 years, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000 km annual average seen in the region. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the UAE and Saudi markets, offering strong resale potential for a niche performance icon. As a Japanese regional spec, this car arrives with the build quality and maintenance standards synonymous with that market, though buyers should note the differences in software and local warranty coverage. It remains the definitive choice for the driver who needs supercar-adjacent performance without sacrificing the daily utility of a family vehicle.

This Car vs Other 2014 RS4s

At just over 36,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is exceptionally low for its age in the GCC market, where most 12-year-old performance cars have covered double or triple this distance. The black exterior is highly sought after in the regional used market, ensuring faster liquidity and value retention compared to louder colors. Its well-preserved interior reflects the low mechanical stress typical of a low-kilometer Japanese import.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the top-tier RS variant, this trim includes a wider track, flared wheel arches, and larger 365mm 'wavy' brake discs that are not found on the S4. The interior is distinguished by SuperSport seats and carbon fiber decorative inlays, which are essential for maintaining the car's premium feel in the competitive GCC luxury segment. It also features a rear-biased Quattro system, providing a sharper driving dynamic than standard A4 models.

RS4 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate of the same era offer more torque, the RS4 leads with the security of its Quattro all-wheel-drive system, which is crucial for high-speed stability on the UAE's multi-lane highways. Its 505-liter boot space is more practical for family road trips between emirates than the more cramped luggage areas of similar performance sedans. The high-revving V8 provides a distinct, linear power delivery that turbocharged competitors cannot replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

Expected fuel consumption hovers around 10.7 L/100km on the highway, though city driving in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic will see this increase significantly. As a Japanese spec vehicle, parts are readily available through Audi's extensive UAE and KSA network, though specialized RS components may occasionally require ordering. The RS4 occupies a unique niche in the GCC, and its limited availability as a wagon helps it retain value better than more common luxury sedans.

Performance & Capability

The 4.2-liter V8 delivers 414 horsepower and a spine-tingling 8,250 rpm redline, making it ideal for the open stretches of the E11 or E311. A 0-100 km/h time of 4.7 seconds ensures effortless overtaking, while the S-Tronic 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provides lightning-fast shifts. The Quattro system maintains exceptional grip, even during the rare heavy rains or on the sandy surfaces occasionally encountered on secondary regional roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for long-distance comfort, featuring dual-zone climate control that is well-regarded for handling high summer temperatures in the Gulf. The five-seat configuration provides ample legroom for a family of five, while the SuperSport seats offer excellent lateral support for spirited drives. High-quality acoustic insulation ensures the engine’s V8 growl is heard when you want it, without compromising highway refinement.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes front, side, and curtain airbags, along with high-performance RS braking systems designed for repeated high-speed stops. The Quattro all-wheel-drive system acts as a primary safety feature in the GCC, providing superior traction on dusty or oily road surfaces. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is standard and tuned to intervene only when necessary, maintaining a balance between safety and driving engagement.

The bottom line

This low-mileage RS4 is the perfect acquisition for a GCC-based collector or family driver seeking the visceral thrill of a naturally aspirated V8 paired with everyday German practicality.
