Summary

This 2014 Lexus IS250 Premier offers a refined balance of executive styling and long-term reliability that is highly sought after in the GCC market. Its naturally aspirated V6 engine is specifically designed to handle the intense local heat, and the GCC specification ensures maximum efficiency from the cooling and air conditioning systems. The grey exterior is a neutral, high-resale color in the UAE, making it a safe choice for those keeping an eye on future value. Positioned as a premium alternative to standard commuters, it provides a quiet, composed cabin perfect for daily Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi highway runs. For a local buyer, the combination of Lexus’s legendary durability and the widespread Al Futtaim service network makes this one of the lowest-risk luxury purchases available.

This Car vs Other 2014 IS250s

With 139,000 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 14,000 km per year, which is significantly below the GCC annual average of 20,000 to 25,000 km. While many examples in the market are high-mileage American imports, this GCC-spec car offers better value retention and guaranteed compatibility with local authorized service centers. The grey finish is a robust choice for the region, showing less dust and maintaining its luster better than darker shades under the desert sun.

PREMIER vs Lower Trims

The Premier trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the base models, adding essential GCC comforts like ventilated front seats to combat the summer heat. It also includes the eight-speaker Lexus Premium Audio system and an upgraded 7-inch display, which were not standard on entry-level versions. Furthermore, you benefit from SmartAccess with push-button start and auto-leveling HID headlamps, providing a much more sophisticated ownership experience than the standard trim.

IS250 vs Segment Rivals

The IS250 leads rivals like the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class in long-term reliability and cost of ownership, as its naturally aspirated V6 avoids the complexity of German turbocharged engines. While the Audi A4 offers similar tech, the Lexus provides superior air conditioning performance, which is a critical differentiator during UAE summers. Its 66-liter fuel tank also offers a generous highway range, making it better suited for cross-emirate travel than many smaller-tank competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.5L V6 typically averages around 9.8 L/100km in city traffic and drops to approximately 6.5 L/100km on the highway. Lexus maintains the strongest value retention in the GCC luxury segment, typically depreciating at just 8–10% annually compared to 15% or more for European equivalents. Service intervals are standardized at 10,000 km, and with the most extensive luxury service network in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, maintenance is both convenient and affordable.

Performance & Capability

The 205 hp V6 delivers a smooth, linear power delivery that reaches a top speed of 225 km/h, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. Unlike turbocharged rivals, the naturally aspirated engine provides immediate throttle response and a refined soundtrack that remains quiet at cruising speeds. The rear-wheel-drive chassis is paired with Lexus's Drive Mode Select, allowing you to prioritize fuel efficiency in Eco mode or sharpen response for a more engaging drive in Sport mode.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers and features high-grade materials that resist wear even in high-humidity coastal areas. The dual-zone automatic climate control is exceptionally powerful, quickly cooling the interior even after the car has been parked in direct sunlight. With 310 liters of boot space and 60/40 split-folding rear seats, it remains a practical choice for small families or golf enthusiasts. Quietness is a hallmark of this generation, with extensive acoustic insulation reducing road noise during long-distance drives.

Safety

This IS250 comes equipped with eight airbags and the Lexus Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) system, which proactively coordinates steering, braking, and stability controls. Standard safety features include Traction Control and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, which are essential for maintaining grip on sandy or rain-slicked UAE roads. The Premier trim also features a high-resolution rearview camera and parking sensors, making it easy to navigate tight parking spots in busy urban centers.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec IS250 is the ideal choice for an executive or small family looking for luxury without the high maintenance costs of German rivals. Its below-average mileage and strong regional specification make it a top-tier opportunity in the current used market.
