Summary

This 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera S represents one of the final opportunities to own the legendary 991.1 generation, celebrated by enthusiasts as the last of the naturally aspirated Carrera models. With only 77,000 km, this example has been driven significantly less than the typical GCC average for its age, making it an exceptionally fresh find for the local market. The Carrera S trim is the sweet spot of the range, offering a substantial power bump and sharper chassis dynamics over the base model. Finished in a sophisticated grey, this car benefits from neutral color palette strength, which typically ensures better resale stability in the UAE and wider region. For the GCC buyer, this is a rare chance to secure a pure, high-revving flat-six soundtrack paired with modern PDK convenience and full regional compatibility.

This Car vs Other 2015 911s

With just 77,000 km on the odometer, this 911 has averaged roughly 8,500 km per year, which is less than half the typical 20,000 km annual average seen on Dubai and Abu Dhabi highways. While many 2015 models in the GCC have now crossed the 120,000 km mark, this example remains in a lower-wear bracket usually reserved for weekend-only cars. The grey exterior is a highly sought-after professional shade that resists the visual aging effects of the desert sun better than brighter colors.

CARRERA S vs Lower Trims

The Carrera S moves up from the base 3.4L to a more potent 3.8L engine, delivering an extra 50 hp that is immediately felt during highway overtaking. Beyond the engine, the S trim includes standard 20-inch wheels and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system, which allows the driver to toggle between a compliant street ride and a firm track-ready setup at the touch of a button. It also features larger brakes and a standard quad-exhaust setup, providing both the stopping power and the visual presence that the entry-level Carrera lacks.

911 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Jaguar F-Type or the Maserati GranTurismo, the 911 offers a far more usable 2+2 seating layout and a significantly better air conditioning system capable of handling 50°C summer peaks. The Porsche’s PDK transmission remains the benchmark for speed and reliability, outperforming the single-clutch or torque-converter units found in many period rivals. Its compact footprint also makes it much easier to park in tight urban mall spaces compared to the wider, heavier grand tourers in the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 991.1 Carrera S is currently enjoying strong value retention in the GCC as collectors seek out the last naturally aspirated engines before the 2016 shift to turbocharging. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, and Porsche's authorized service network is excellent across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.5 L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic will see this rise to approximately 13.8 L/100km. Parts availability is among the best for any European sports car in the region.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp naturally aspirated flat-six provides a linear power delivery and a distinctive mechanical howl that modern turbocharged cars cannot replicate. Reaching 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, it remains competitive with modern performance cars, while the 302 km/h top speed ensures effortless high-speed cruising on long trans-emirate drives. The rear-wheel-drive layout and PDK transmission offer a perfect balance of engagement for weekend drives at Jebel Jais and ease of use in daily Riyadh or Dubai traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a high-grade leather finish with a driver-centric layout that provides excellent visibility, a rarity in the supercar segment. The 2+2 seating configuration offers genuine practicality for extra luggage or small children, while the powerful Porsche climate control system is specifically tuned to maintain cabin chill during the extreme GCC summer. Premium audio and an intuitive central interface ensure that even long highway journeys between cities remain comfortable and connected.

Safety

Standard safety features include the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system, which is invaluable for maintaining traction on sandy or rain-slicked road surfaces common in the region. The car is equipped with a comprehensive airbag suite, including thorax and head protection, along with high-performance ventilated disc brakes that resist fade during spirited driving. Front and rear parking sensors provide additional confidence in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

This is a pristine, low-mileage example of the final naturally aspirated 911 Carrera S, offering the perfect blend of GCC-spec reliability and enthusiast-grade performance.
