Summary

This 2023 Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge represents the more assertive, driver-oriented side of the brand, finished in a rare and striking Green that stands out in the GCC’s luxury landscape. With its high-output V12 and recalibrated suspension, it offers a sharper driving experience than the standard Ghost while maintaining the peerless 'magic carpet' ride quality. This specific car has been driven consistently on the UAE’s well-maintained highway network, making it a mechanically seasoned example ready for its next owner. The Black Badge trim remains one of the most desirable configurations in the regional market, blending dark-motif aesthetics with a significant performance boost. For the GCC buyer, this is a unique opportunity to own a modern masterpiece that balances executive presence with a rebellious, high-performance edge.

This Car vs Other 2023 Ghosts

With 83,632 km on the odometer, this Ghost has seen more frequent highway use than the typical low-mileage examples found in local showrooms, yet it remains a young, mechanically robust 2023 model. In the GCC market, high-specification colors like this Green often command a premium for their rarity and bespoke appeal compared to the standard white or black palettes. This usage profile suggests a car that has been regularly exercised, often a better indicator of mechanical health for a complex V12 than one that has sat idle.

BLACK BADGE vs Lower Trims

The Black Badge trim is a comprehensive performance and aesthetic upgrade over the standard Ghost, adding 28 hp and 37 lb-ft of torque to the V12 engine. It introduces high-tech 'Technical Fibre' interior accents and a darker chrome finish to the Spirit of Ecstasy and Pantheon grille, providing a more modern, aggressive look. Additionally, it features a remapped 8-speed transmission and larger air springs to reduce body roll during spirited drives across the Emirates.

Ghost vs Segment Rivals

While cross-shopped with the Bentley Flying Spur and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the Ghost Black Badge leads with its hand-built V12 provenance and the unique 'Planar' suspension system that uses cameras to read the road ahead. Its coach-door entry and massive 82.5-litre fuel tank make it superior for long-distance luxury travel between GCC capitals. The bespoke nature of the Black Badge ensures a level of exclusivity and presence that mass-produced luxury rivals cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 15.8 L/100km combined, which is competitive for a 6.75L V12 in GCC stop-start traffic and highway cruising. As a 2023 model, it may still benefit from the balance of the original 4-year regional service and warranty package, supported by extensive authorized centers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and across the GCC. While European ultra-luxury cars typically see 12-18% annual depreciation, the Black Badge trim holds value significantly better than the standard Ghost due to high regional demand for its sportier configuration.

Performance & Capability

The 591 hp twin-turbo V12 delivers a massive 900 Nm of torque, enabling effortless highway overtaking and a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.7 seconds. The Black Badge tune includes a more vocal exhaust system and a 'Low' mode on the gear stalk that increases gear shift speeds by 50% for a more engaging drive. Standard all-wheel steering provides this 5.5-meter sedan with the urban agility of a much smaller car, which is essential for navigating tight city environments like Downtown Dubai.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring four-zone automatic climate control and ventilated seats for all five passengers as standard. The hallmark Starlight Headliner and the bespoke 18-speaker audio system create an unmatched interior atmosphere for long desert drives. High-quality acoustic glass ensures total isolation from wind and road noise, even at high cruising speeds on the E11 highway.

Safety

This Black Badge is equipped with a full suite of ADAS technology, including a 360° surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring, which are vital for safe navigation on the region’s fast-moving multi-lane highways. The vehicle also features infrared night vision and head-up display to enhance visibility during night-time desert driving. Standard active safety systems include lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking to ensure maximum protection for all occupants.

The bottom line

This Ghost Black Badge is the ideal choice for a driver who wants the peak of British craftsmanship with a modern, high-performance twist; it is a rare, high-spec opportunity in a market dominated by more traditional colors.
