Summary

This 2016 Dodge Charger Scat Pack is a definitive muscle sedan, pairing high-displacement performance with four-door versatility. The 6.4L Hemi V8 provides significant power that remains competitive against modern rivals, making it a favorite for GCC highway cruising. As an American spec model in sleek black, it offers a high-performance entry point into the SRT family. For a GCC buyer, this model represents the sweet spot between the standard R/T and the supercharged Hellcat, offering raw naturally aspirated power and a menacing street presence. It is a well-suited choice for those who value mechanical simplicity and a distinct engine note during long-distance drives across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2016 Chargers

With 215,000 km, this vehicle reflects the typical high-usage pattern seen in the GCC, where long-distance inter-city commuting is common. While many local 2016 models are the smaller 3.6L or 5.7L variants, this Scat Pack retains higher enthusiast interest. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the local market, aiding in visibility and resale appeal.

SRT8 SCATPACK vs Lower Trims

The Scat Pack significantly upgrades the driving experience over the R/T trim by introducing the larger 6.4L Hemi engine and high-performance Brembo brakes. It also features a more aggressive aero kit and 20-inch wheels that provide the aesthetic of the higher-tier SRT models. Inside, it often includes performance-focused tech like Dodge Performance Pages to monitor real-time metrics.

Charger vs Segment Rivals

The Charger stands alone as the only rear-wheel-drive American muscle sedan in its class, offering more character than the Chevrolet Impala or Toyota Avalon. Its 72-litre fuel tank is well-proportioned for the long, fast-moving highways of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Compared to rivals, it offers a more driver-centric cockpit and a far more aggressive engine character.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 6.4L Hemi typically ranges from 13.0L to 15.0L/100km in mixed GCC conditions, though highway cruising can be more efficient. Service intervals for SRT-engineered models are recommended every 5,000 to 10,000 km, especially in the extreme heat of the Gulf summer. Parts availability is excellent across the UAE and wider GCC through a vast network of authorized centers and specialist shops.

Performance & Capability

The 470 hp output allows for effortless highway overtaking and a verified 0–100 km/h time of 5.0 seconds. The rear-wheel-drive layout and 8-speed automatic transmission are tuned for high-speed stability and mechanical feedback. This powertrain is respected in the GCC for its durability and its ability to maintain performance even in high ambient temperatures.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin comfortably seats five adults and features a robust air conditioning system designed to handle desert summers. Large, bolstered sport seats provide support for long drives between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Standard tech includes the intuitive Uconnect infotainment system, which remains one of the more user-friendly interfaces in the used market.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive airbag suite, advanced traction control, and electronic stability programming. The high-performance Brembo braking system provides significantly shorter stopping distances than standard sedan models, a vital asset for fast-moving GCC highway traffic. Additional features like rear parking sensors and a rearview camera assist with navigating city environments.

The bottom line

This Charger Scat Pack is ideal for the enthusiast who wants high-displacement V8 power and iconic styling without the premium of a Hellcat. It remains a standout performer on UAE roads, offering a blend of daily utility and genuine muscle car heritage.
