Audi RS7 PERFORMANCE

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 3.7 seconds
• 605 hp from a 4.0L V8 biturbo
• Carbon-ceramic brakes standard

Summary

This Audi RS7 Performance represents the peak of the C7 generation, offering a significant power increase and sharpened handling over the standard RS7. Finished in Grey, a color with strong resale appeal in the GCC, it balances aggressive aesthetics with the practicality of a five-door hatchback. With 120,000 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 17,000 km per year, which is notably lower than the GCC annual average for high-performance grand tourers. It stands out in the market for its ability to combine supercar-rivaling acceleration with the everyday usability of a four-seater luxury cabin. For the GCC buyer, this remains one of the most reliable ways to access 600+ horsepower in a package that manages extreme summer temperatures with ease.

This Car vs Other 2017 RS7s

With 120,000 km on the odometer, this RS7 has been driven below the typical GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km for premium vehicles. The Grey exterior is a highly sought-after shade in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring better value retention compared to louder or niche colors. As a GCC-spec model, it features the cooling and radiator upgrades necessary for reliable operation in the region's extreme heat.

PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The Performance trim is a substantial step up from the base RS7, boosting output from 560 hp to 605 hp and increasing torque to 750 Nm with overboost. It replaces the standard steel brakes with high-fade-resistant carbon-ceramic discs and adds the Dynamic Ride Control mechanical damping system for flatter cornering. Visual distinctions include matte titanium exterior accents and unique 21-inch wheels that command a premium in the used market.

RS7 vs Segment Rivals

The RS7 Performance leads rivals like the BMW M6 Gran Coupe and Mercedes-AMG CLS 63 in all-weather traction thanks to its legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive system. While competitors offer traditional sedan trunks, the RS7’s hatchback design provides up to 1,390 liters of cargo space with the seats folded, offering superior practicality for weekend trips between emirates. Its V8 biturbo is widely regarded for having a more manageable maintenance profile in the GCC compared to some more temperamental Italian alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.6 L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic will see this rise significantly. Audi has a robust authorized service network across the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, with recommended service intervals typically every 15,000 km. While European luxury performance cars depreciate faster than Japanese luxury brands, the RS7 Performance holds its value better than the standard RS7 due to its limited production status and highly desirable mechanical upgrades.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0L V8 biturbo engine propels this hatchback from 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, with an unrestricted top speed potential of 305 km/h. The eight-speed Tiptronic transmission is tuned for rapid shifts during spirited drives while remaining smooth for the daily commute. Audi’s Quattro system with a sport differential ensures maximum power delivery to the tarmac, providing immense confidence during high-speed highway overtaking.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a four-seat configuration featuring Valcona leather sport seats and a driver-focused cockpit with a standard head-up display. GCC-specific comfort is ensured by a powerful four-zone automatic climate control system and high-quality acoustic glazing that insulates the interior from desert heat and road noise. Entertainment is provided by a 14-speaker Bose surround sound system, though many Performance models were optioned with the premium 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen unit.

Safety

Standard safety features include Audi Pre Sense Basic and Rear, which prepares the cabin for a potential collision, alongside blind-spot monitoring and front/rear parking sensors. The All-Wheel Drive system acts as a primary active safety feature, maintaining stability on sandy or rain-slicked GCC roads. High-performance LED headlights provide exceptional visibility for night-time desert highway driving.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a buyer seeking one of the fastest four-door cars ever produced, offered in a GCC-ready spec with mileage that suggests careful long-distance highway use rather than city wear.
