Summary

This Huracan LP580-2 presents a rare opportunity for a purist driver, offering the sought-after rear-wheel-drive configuration that defines the sharpest edge of the V10 era. With mileage significantly below the 20,000 km annual GCC average for its age, this vehicle has been preserved as a low-use example, maximizing its longevity in the local climate. The white exterior is the highest-demand color for resale in the UAE and wider GCC, providing a safer exit strategy for future collectors. As the naturally aspirated V10 has been officially succeeded by hybrid powertrains, this model represents a peak mechanical era that is increasingly difficult to source in such clean condition. For the UAE owner, this is the definitive balance of aggressive Sant'Agata styling and the raw, unfiltered feedback of a rear-drive supercar.

This Car vs Other 2017 Huracans

At just over 27,000 km total mileage, this Huracan has averaged approximately 3,000 km per year—a fraction of the typical GCC annual usage. While many regional examples are driven heavily on highway commutes between emirates, this car’s low odometer reading indicates it has likely been a weekend-only or collection-based vehicle. The white finish is a strategic advantage, as it is the most resilient color against the intense local sun and maintains the strongest value retention in the UAE used market.

LP580-2 vs Lower Trims

The LP580-2 is specifically engineered for drivers who prefer agility over the raw traction of the all-wheel-drive variants. By removing the front-drive components, Lamborghini reduced the dry weight by 33kg and rebalanced the car to a 40/60 front-to-rear distribution for more responsive turn-in. This trim also features a unique aerodynamic package with distinct front air intakes and a specific rear spoiler, ensuring it is visually differentiated from the standard LP610-4.

Huracan vs Segment Rivals

In the GCC supercar market, the Huracan LP580-2 is frequently compared to the Ferrari 488 GTB and the McLaren 570S. While its rivals utilize turbocharging, the Lamborghini stands apart with its 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10, offering instant throttle response and a mechanical soundtrack that is unmatched in modern traffic. Furthermore, the Huracan shares significant architecture with the Audi R8, granting it superior daily reliability and air conditioning performance compared to its Italian and British counterparts.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 12L/100km on the highway, though city driving in heavy Dubai traffic will see this increase significantly. As a Japanese spec vehicle, it offers high mechanical standards, though buyers should note that authorized centers like Al Jaziri Motors are the primary source for maintenance in the UAE. Historically, Huracans in the GCC retain roughly 50-60% of their value after nine years, with RWD versions currently seeing a stabilization in price due to their enthusiast appeal.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is the 580 hp V10, which allows for a blistering 0-100 km/h time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. The recalibrated ANIMA system offers Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes, with the latter two specifically tuned to allow for controlled oversteer—a signature trait of the LP580-2. The 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission provides lightning-fast shifts, making it equally capable of high-speed highway cruising or sharp technical drives through the Jebel Jais mountain passes.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a focused, two-seat cockpit featuring a 12.3-inch TFT digital instrument cluster that can be customized to show navigation or performance telemetry. Despite its performance focus, the cabin cooling system is robust enough to handle the 45°C+ summer heat characteristic of the region. The aeronautical-inspired switchgear and start button housing give every drive a sense of occasion, while the seats are designed to provide support during high-G cornering without sacrificing long-distance comfort.

Safety

Safety is managed by a high-strength carbon fiber and aluminum hybrid chassis that provides exceptional torsional stiffness. Standard safety features for this trim include specialized Electronic Stability Control (ESC) recalibrated for the rear-wheel-drive setup, carbon-ceramic braking options (where equipped), and a comprehensive airbag system. The LED lighting system provides excellent visibility for night driving on unlit desert highways, ensuring peak safety during high-speed transit.

The bottom line

For the GCC enthusiast seeking the rawest V10 experience in the most market-resilient color, this low-mileage LP580-2 is the premier choice before the era of naturally aspirated supercars fully transitions to hybrid.
