• 4,259 kg maximum braked towing capacity
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2017 Nissan Titan is a standout choice in the GCC for buyers seeking a heavy-duty workhorse with proven mechanical simplicity. While its mileage is exceptionally low for a nine-year-old vehicle in this region, the white exterior provides the strongest possible resale advantage and heat reflection for our climate. The naturally aspirated 5.6L V8 offers a more robust, long-term ownership proposition than modern turbocharged rivals, especially for towing between emirates. With its Canadian specification, it delivers a high-quality build that remains fully compatible with Nissan's expansive service infrastructure across the UAE and wider GCC.

This Car vs Other 2017 Titans

With just 88,500 km on the odometer, this Titan has covered less than 10,000 km per year, which is significantly lower than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for GCC-based trucks. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local used market, ensuring faster resale and better value retention than darker shades. Its mechanical condition reflects a life of light use compared to most pre-owned pickups of this vintage.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the base trim for the redesigned second generation, this model focuses on durability and essential utility, featuring a simplified cabin that avoids the complex electronics prone to heat-wear in the Gulf. It still includes standard essentials like push-button start and Bluetooth connectivity, which were premium features on previous generations. The cloth upholstery is specifically chosen for its stain resistance and comfort during high-temperature summer months.

Titan vs Segment Rivals

The Titan competes directly with the Toyota Tundra and Ford F-150, leading with a standard V8 powertrain that produces more base horsepower than the entry-level Tundra of the same era. Its high-capacity fuel tank is ideal for cross-border desert drives where petrol stations are sparse. The second-generation chassis was specifically engineered for better cabin insulation, providing a quieter highway experience than many contemporary American work trucks.

Running Costs & Resale

The Endurance V8 is a staple of the Nissan lineup in the GCC, meaning parts are readily available at competitive prices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and beyond. Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 13.4 L/100km on the highway, though city driving in stop-start traffic will see this rise. While Canadian spec vehicles don't carry the initial premium of GCC spec, the Titan’s reputation for 300,000 km+ durability ensures it remains a high-demand asset in the regional used market.

Performance & Capability

The 5.6L V8 delivers 390 hp and 544 Nm of torque, providing effortless overtaking power on 140 km/h motorways even when fully loaded. It features a maximum braked towing capacity of 4,259 kg, making it a premier choice for hauling boats or horse trailers across the region. The 7-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, maintaining engine composure during long climbs or heavy-duty hauling tasks.

Comfort & Cabin

This Crew Cab configuration offers a genuinely spacious second row with enough legroom for three adults, a major advantage for family road trips. The air conditioning system is famously robust, designed to reach comfortable cabin temperatures rapidly even after hours in direct sun. The simplified dashboard layout and physical controls are easy to operate while wearing work gloves or driving in challenging conditions.

Safety

This Titan comes equipped with six standard airbags and a reinforced high-strength steel frame for maximum occupant protection. Electronic stability control and traction management are standard, providing essential grip on the loose sand and gravel surfaces common in the UAE's outskirts. Active grille shutters also help manage engine temperatures, ensuring the V8 operates within safe thermal limits during extreme summer heat.

The bottom line

For the buyer who needs a low-mileage, V8-powered truck that won't quit, this Titan offers incredible utility and a color that holds its value perfectly in the GCC market.
