• 420 hp from a twin-turbocharged flat-six
• Top speed of 306 km/h

Summary

This 9-year-old 911 Carrera S represents the sweet spot of the 991.2 generation, featuring the refined twin-turbocharged engine that delivers broad torque ideal for Dubai's fast-moving traffic. With mileage under 90,000 km, this example has averaged roughly 10,000 km per year, which is significantly below the GCC average for a daily-driven sports car. The classic black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring strong resale liquidity and timeless appeal. As a Carrera S, it offers a meaningful performance bridge over the base model without the extreme running costs of a Turbo. For a GCC buyer, the standard Porsche Stability Management and robust cooling system make this a reliable year-round performance companion.

This Car vs Other 2017 911s

At 89,799 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 10,000 km annually, which is considered low mileage for a 9-year-old car in the GCC, where 20,000 km is the typical benchmark. The black exterior is one of the most resilient colors for resale in the UAE and Saudi markets. This specific example benefits from being a GCC-spec model, ensuring the radiator and AC configurations are optimized for extreme summer heat.

CARRERA S vs Lower Trims

The Carrera S adds a substantial 50 hp and 50 Nm of torque over the base Carrera, utilizing larger turbochargers and a revised exhaust system. Beyond power, the S trim upgrades to 20-inch wheels, larger brakes with red calipers, and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) for enhanced cornering. These performance additions are highly valued by regional enthusiasts and command a consistent premium in the used market.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The 911 leads the Audi R8 and Jaguar F-Type in daily usability, offering a 2+2 seating configuration and a front luggage compartment that rivals cannot match. Its twin-turbo flat-six provides better fuel efficiency for long inter-emirate drives compared to the larger V8s found in competitors. Porsche's PDK transmission remains the industry standard for shift speed and reliability in heavy city traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 8.7 L/100km on highway cycles, though GCC city traffic will see this rise during peak summer months. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or once a year, with a strong network of authorized Porsche Centers available across all major GCC cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. The 911 Carrera S maintains one of the lowest depreciation rates in the luxury sports segment, often retaining over 60% of its value after five years in the local market.

Performance & Capability

With a top speed of 306 km/h and a 0–100 km/h time of 4.1 seconds, this coupe offers supercar-level performance that is easily accessible on the UAE's well-maintained highways. The 500 Nm of torque is available from just 1,700 rpm, providing effortless overtaking power without needing to downshift aggressively. The rear-wheel-drive layout and active suspension management ensure a precise, engaging drive during weekend runs through Jebel Jais.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a driver-centric 4-seat layout with high-quality materials designed to withstand the intense GCC sun. Porsche’s climate control system is renowned for its rapid cooling, a vital feature for the region's 45°C+ summer days. While the rear seats are best suited for children or extra storage, the overall insulation provides a quiet, refined environment for long-distance touring.

Safety

This Carrera S comes standard with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and an advanced airbag system, providing high levels of protection. The high-performance braking system, upgraded for the S trim, ensures short stopping distances even in high-speed highway scenarios. Porsche’s engineering focus on visibility and structural rigidity makes it one of the safest sports cars for daily GCC commuting.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Carrera S is an ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking a low-mileage 991.2 that balances daily comfort with genuine track-ready performance. It is a highly liquid asset in the local market thanks to its desirable color and documented regional suitability.
