• 440 hp from a 3.6L twin-turbo V6
• Top speed of 262 km/h

Summary

This 2017 GTS represents the sweet spot of the Cayenne lineup, bridging the gap between luxury and pure performance. With mileage that aligns perfectly with the GCC average of 20,000 km per year, this white-on-black example is finished in the region’s most desirable resale color. Unlike the standard trims, the GTS features a factory-lowered air suspension and the aggressive Turbo-style front fascia as standard. It offers a sharper, more driver-focused experience than the Cayenne S while remaining more practical for daily UAE commuting than the Turbo models. For a GCC buyer, this provides Porsche’s legendary build quality in a configuration built to handle both high-speed highway runs and extreme summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2017 Cayennes

With 135,300 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits at a typical average for a 7-year-old car in the UAE, where long-distance highway commutes between emirates are common. While many SUVs of this age show significant wear, Porsche’s build quality ensures that high-mileage examples remain mechanically sound when maintained. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the GCC, as it reflects heat more efficiently and maintains the highest resale liquidity in the local market.

GTS vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the GTS from the Cayenne S adds significant standard equipment that GCC buyers value, including the Sport Exhaust system for a more visceral engine note and the larger 20-inch RS Spyder wheels. It also includes the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with a 20mm lower ride height and the Sport Chrono package as standard, providing sharper throttle response and launch control. Inside, you get 18-way adaptive sport seats that provide superior support compared to the 8-way or 14-way versions found in lower trims.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

The Cayenne GTS leads the BMW X5 and Range Rover Sport in pure handling precision and chassis balance, feeling more like a lifted sports car than a traditional SUV. Its 100-litre fuel tank is a major advantage for cross-border GCC road trips, offering a significantly longer highway range than many rivals. The Porsche's cooling system is also widely regarded as one of the most robust in the segment, maintaining peak performance even during the peak of the Arabian summer.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the twin-turbo V6 averages around 10.0L/100km on the highway, though expect higher figures in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a comprehensive service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts availability is never an issue. The GTS trim historically holds its value better than the base or S models in the GCC market, typically depreciating at a slower rate due to its high demand among enthusiasts.

Performance & Capability

The 3.6L twin-turbo V6 delivers a massive 600 Nm of torque, enabling effortless overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. Standard all-wheel drive and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) ensure total stability on sand-dusted roads or during rare heavy rain events. While road-biased, the adjustable air suspension allows you to increase ground clearance for light gravel paths or weekend drives to more remote Wadis.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a mix of Alcantara and leather, designed to stay cooler than full-leather interiors during the summer months. The quad-zone climate control is standard, ensuring rear passengers remain comfortable even when exterior temperatures exceed 45°C. With 670 litres of boot space, it easily accommodates family luggage for staycations or large grocery hauls without compromising second-row legroom.

Safety

Safety is managed by a suite of advanced systems including Porsche Stability Management (PSM), multi-collision braking, and six airbags as standard. For highway driving, the Bi-Xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) provide exceptional visibility during nighttime desert drives. The robust braking system, shared with the Turbo model, offers consistent stopping power even under the thermal stress of GCC driving conditions.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the performance of a 911 with the practicality of a family SUV, this GCC-spec GTS is the perfect middle ground in a high-resale color.
