Summary

This 2018 Maserati GranTurismo Sport represents the refined peak of a legendary production run, featuring the highly desirable facelifted interior and updated tech. With under 45,000 km, this GCC-spec example has been driven significantly less than the regional average, preserving the character of its soulful, naturally aspirated V8. The Grigio exterior is a sophisticated, high-resale choice for the UAE market, balancing elegance with the model's aggressive, Pininfarina-inspired lines. For the local buyer, this car offers the rare opportunity to own a Ferrari-engineered powertrain in a comfortable, four-seat grand tourer. It stands out as a characterful alternative to more common German rivals, delivering a sound and sense of occasion that few modern cars can match.

This Car vs Other 2018 GranTurismos

With just 44,591 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged roughly 7,500 km per year, which is exceptionally low for the GCC where highway commutes often push annual averages toward 25,000 km. This lower usage suggests less wear on the suspension and cooling systems, which are critical in the local climate. The Grey finish is a particularly strong resale color in the regional market, offering a timeless appeal that avoids the depreciation associated with more niche or bright colors.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

The Sport trim is the definitive choice for the GCC, balancing the raw performance of the MC with daily-usable luxury. It features an upgraded 8.4-inch high-resolution touchscreen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto—a vital upgrade for modern navigation in fast-changing cities like Dubai and Riyadh. This trim also standardizes the 10-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system and adaptive Skyhook suspension, which provides a more comfortable ride over varied urban surfaces compared to the stiffer MC variant.

GranTurismo vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Porsche 911 or BMW 8 Series focus on clinical precision, the GranTurismo leads with its emotive Ferrari-built V8 and genuine four-adult seating capacity. It offers a larger interior volume than most 2+2 coupes, making it a more practical choice for social driving or family weekend trips. The distinct Italian design and orchestral exhaust note provide a level of presence on UAE roads that its more mass-produced German competitors often lack.

Running Costs & Resale

As a GCC-spec vehicle, this Maserati benefits from a cooling system and AC configuration designed for 45°C+ temperatures, which is a major value-add for local resale. The naturally aspirated 4.7L V8 is a discontinued engine architecture, which has begun to stabilize depreciation as collectors seek out its specific sound. Authorized service centers are well-established in all major GCC cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, ensuring reliable maintenance and parts availability.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this GranTurismo is the 460 hp V8, which propels the coupe to a top speed of 299 km/h, making it a master of long-distance highway travel across the Emirates. Its 6-speed ZF automatic transmission is tuned for smooth, rapid shifts that suit both spirited weekend drives and heavy stop-start city traffic. The rear-wheel-drive layout and balanced weight distribution offer a classic sports car feel that remains stable and composed during high-speed overtaking.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a blend of Poltrona Frau leather and modern technology, specifically updated for the 2018 model year with a redesigned center console. The dual-zone climate control is engineered to handle extreme heat, quickly cooling the four-seat interior even after being parked in the sun. Ventilated seating and acoustic glass help isolate the cabin from both the desert heat and external road noise, providing a serene environment for trans-emirate journeys.

Safety

Standard safety features include powerful Brembo ventilated disc brakes and a sophisticated stability control system specifically calibrated for the GranTurismo’s high power output. For long GCC highway drives, the adaptive xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights provide excellent visibility, while the integrated rearview camera and front/rear parking sensors simplify maneuvering in tight urban spaces. The chassis utilizes a high-strength steel and aluminum construction for optimal passenger protection.

The bottom line

This is a rare chance to secure a low-mileage, facelifted GranTurismo with a Ferrari-derived engine that is no longer in production, offering a unique blend of Italian soul and GCC-ready reliability.
