Summary

This 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS represents the mechanical peak of the 991 generation, offering a visceral driving experience that few modern supercars can match. With its low mileage and GCC specification, this example is a standout choice for collectors and track enthusiasts alike, particularly in the striking red-on-black configuration that remains highly desirable in the region. The GT2 RS dominates its segment by delivering motorsport-grade performance in a road-legal package that handles the UAE's high-speed highways with absolute composure. For a buyer in the GCC, this is a rare opportunity to own the most powerful production 911 ever built, benefiting from a well-established local service network and a heritage of strong value retention. It is a machine designed for the heat of the track and the open desert roads, where its advanced cooling systems and massive downforce truly shine.

This Car vs Other 2018 911s

While many 911s of this era serve as daily commuters in the UAE and carry mileage upwards of 60,000 km, this GT2 RS has been preserved with just 14,662 km, making it a low-mileage outlier in the market. The red exterior is not only an iconic Porsche racing shade but also holds its value exceptionally well in the GCC, where traditional colors command a premium at resale. This specific example offers a degree of mechanical freshness that is hard to find among performance-oriented 911s in the region.

GT2 RS vs Lower Trims

The GT2 RS is a significant leap beyond the already potent Turbo S, stripping away the heavy all-wheel-drive system to save over 100 kg while adding 120 horsepower. It features carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic body panels, a titanium exhaust system, and a unique water-spray cooling system for the intercoolers that is vital for maintaining peak power in extreme GCC summer heat. Standard ceramic composite brakes (PCCB) and rear-axle steering provide a level of circuit-ready precision that lower 911 trims cannot emulate.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The GT2 RS consistently leads rivals like the Ferrari 488 Pista and Lamborghini Huracán Performante in raw track capability, famously holding the Nürburgring production car record at its launch. Its flat-six engine architecture provides a lower center of gravity than its V8 and V10 competitors, translating to superior stability during high-speed highway driving between emirates. Additionally, the Porsche's dual-clutch PDK transmission is widely regarded as the most refined in the segment for both stop-start city traffic and high-performance shifts.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the GT2 RS is approximately 11.8 L/100km on a combined cycle, though urban driving in GCC traffic can see this increase significantly. Service intervals are recommended every 15,000 km or annually, and with the extensive Porsche Center network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, expert maintenance is always accessible. The GT2 RS is a blue-chip asset in the GCC market, experiencing far lower depreciation than standard luxury coupes and often appreciating as a sought-after collectible.

Performance & Capability

Launching from 0–100 km/h in a staggering 2.8 seconds, the GT2 RS offers acceleration that remains competitive with the latest hybrid hypercars. It produces 750 Nm of torque, available from just 2,500 rpm, ensuring instant overtaking power on wide GCC highways. The race-tuned chassis includes ball-jointed suspension for maximum feedback and an adjustable rear wing that generates up to 450 kg of downforce for absolute stability at its 340 km/h top speed.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is a focused environment featuring carbon-fiber bucket seats and a steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara for maximum grip. Despite its track focus, the GCC-spec model retains essential comforts like a powerful dual-zone climate control system designed to combat 45°C+ temperatures and the Porsche Communication Management system for navigation and audio. The interior is finished with a mix of black leather and red Alcantara, perfectly mirroring the car’s aggressive exterior persona.

Safety

Standard safety features include the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system for fade-free stopping power under intense heat and the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system with specialized Sport modes. Rear-axle steering enhances both high-speed stability on the highway and low-speed maneuverability in tight urban spaces. The lightweight carbon-fiber structure provides a high-strength safety cell, while multiple airbags and advanced traction control systems ensure the 700 horsepower remains manageable on various road surfaces.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec GT2 RS is for the serious enthusiast who demands the fastest, most capable 911 ever produced, presented in a low-mileage and high-resale configuration that is ready for both the collection and the track.
