Summary

This 2019 Ferrari 488 Pista is a rare find in the GCC market, showing just 2,000 km on the odometer—mileage that is exceptionally low for its age. As the track-focused evolution of the 488 GTB, the Pista is a lighter, more aggressive collector’s piece that bridges the gap between road cars and Maranello's racing division. The Grey exterior offers a sophisticated, understated alternative to traditional Rosso Corsa, which helps maintain strong resale interest among serious enthusiasts in the region. Ownership in the Middle East is well-supported by Ferrari's extensive authorized network, ensuring this precision machine stays in peak mechanical health. For the driver who demands visceral engagement and investment-grade rarity, this high-spec example represents the pinnacle of modern V8 Ferrari performance.

This Car vs Other 2019 488 Pistas

With only 2,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 15,000-20,000 km usually seen on 2019 supercars in the GCC. Such low mileage effectively places it in showroom condition, making it a prime candidate for collectors who value mechanical freshness. The Grey finish is a smart choice for the local market, offering a unique aesthetic while retaining a high level of liquidity in the used luxury segment.

High Spec vs Lower Trims

The Pista is the flagship of the 488 range, adding 50 hp and shedding 90 kg over the standard GTB through extensive use of carbon fiber and components from the 488 Challenge race car. This High Spec variant specifically includes the carbon fiber interior trim and racing seats that GCC buyers prioritize for both aesthetics and weight savings. It also features the innovative S-Duct front aero system, a functional masterpiece not found on the standard 488 models.

488 Pista vs Segment Rivals

Against rivals like the Lamborghini Huracan Performante and the McLaren 720S, the 488 Pista leads with its motorsport-derived V8 architecture and superior aerodynamics. Its unique Side-Slip Angle Control (SSC 6.0) system provides more intuitive handling at the limit than its competitors, making its 710 hp more accessible on track. Additionally, the Pista’s cooling layout is specifically engineered for high-intensity use, a critical advantage in the extreme summer temperatures of the GCC.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption is rated at approximately 11.5 L/100km on the highway, though city driving in heavy traffic will see this figure rise significantly. Service intervals are typically every 20,000 km or annually, and with authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, professional maintenance is always accessible. As a limited-run model, the Pista experiences significantly lower depreciation than standard Ferrari models, often maintaining or even appreciating in value as it ages into collectible status.

Performance & Capability

The 2.85-second sprint to 100 km/h is facilitated by an F1-derived 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that executes gear changes in just 30 milliseconds. On the long highways connecting the Emirates, the 340 km/h top speed and 770 Nm of torque provide effortless overtaking capability and stability. The mid-engine layout and rear-wheel drive setup are tuned for ultimate precision, whether navigating the high-speed curves of Yas Marina or enjoying an spirited morning drive through the Jebel Jais mountain passes.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is focused entirely on the driver, featuring Alcantara upholstery and carbon fiber racing seats that provide exceptional support. Ferrari has ensured the air conditioning system is robust enough to maintain cabin comfort during peak GCC summers, while the high-spec audio system offers premium sound for longer trans-emirate journeys. Despite its track-focused nature, the cabin remains refined enough for weekend touring, with insulation designed to balance engine roar and road comfort.

Safety

Safety is managed by Ferrari's advanced electronic systems, including E-Diff3, F1-Trac, and high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes that provide immense stopping power without fade. The Side-Slip Angle Control 6.0 integrates the traction control and electronic differential, providing a safety net that is particularly useful on sandy or dusty road surfaces common in the region. Front and side airbags are standard, ensuring protection is as comprehensive as the car's performance.

The bottom line

This 488 Pista is an ideal opportunity for a GCC collector looking for a near-delivery-mileage example of Ferrari's most celebrated turbocharged V8 before the era of electrification took hold.
