• 600 hp from a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8
• Harman Kardon 16-speaker audio system standard

Summary

This 2019 BMW M5 offers a unique opportunity to own a high-performance executive icon with mileage that is significantly below the GCC average for its age. Finished in a sophisticated Grey that maintains strong resale appeal, this Korean-spec sedan balances supercar-rivaling speed with the daily usability expected of the 5 Series. The F90 generation is widely praised for its M xDrive system, which provides confidence-inspiring grip on fast-moving UAE highways while allowing for a pure rear-wheel-drive mode. For the GCC buyer, this specific listing represents a lower entry point into the M-power world without sacrificing the core tech and interior refinement this model is known for. Given its low usage, it remains a mechanically fresh example of one of the world's most capable sports sedans.

This Car vs Other 2019 M5s

With just 43,000 km on the odometer, this M5 has been driven approximately 8,600 km per year—far below the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC market. While this is a Korean-spec vehicle, its exceptionally low mileage makes it a standout choice for buyers prioritizing mechanical longevity and cabin freshness. The Grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand color in the region, ensuring it remains easier to trade or sell compared to more niche performance colors.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the dedicated M model, this trim sits at the top of the 5 Series hierarchy, replacing the standard executive features with M-specific hardware like the Active M Differential and a specialized 8-speed Steptronic transmission. It includes high-value standard equipment that GCC buyers look for, such as the 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system and advanced digital cockpit. Unlike lower trims, this model features the M-specific Head-Up Display and customizable M1/M2 drive modes on the steering wheel for instant performance adjustment.

M5 vs Segment Rivals

The M5 leads its primary rival, the Mercedes-AMG E63, by offering a more versatile drivetrain that can toggle between all-wheel grip and traditional rear-wheel drive at the touch of a button. Against the Audi RS6, the M5 provides a more traditional executive sedan silhouette that is highly favored by professional commuters in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its 4.4L V8 is engineered for high-speed thermal stability, making it exceptionally capable of maintaining performance during long, high-temperature highway runs across the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

In GCC stop-start traffic, the twin-turbo V8 typically averages around 14.5 L/100km, though this improves significantly to approximately 10.5 L/100km during long-distance cruising between cities. As a Korean-spec vehicle, it is priced lower than GCC-spec equivalents, providing a value advantage upfront, though buyers should verify service history at specialized BMW service centers which are widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Depreciation for the M5 in this region is typical for European performance sedans, usually hovering around 15% annually, but is mitigated here by the very low mileage.

Performance & Capability

The defining metric of this M5 is its 0–100 km/h sprint of just 3.4 seconds, powered by a 600 hp twin-turbo V8 that delivers relentless acceleration for highway overtaking. The M xDrive system is a game-changer for the region, providing maximum traction on sandy or dusty road surfaces while retaining a RWD mode for track enthusiasts at Dubai Autodrome. With an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, it offers effortless high-speed stability and comfort for long-distance travel across GCC borders.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for five passengers, featuring premium materials and multi-zone climate control essential for the GCC summer. Acoustic insulation is excellent, shielding occupants from road noise during high-speed highway commutes, while the iDrive system provides seamless connectivity. The interior maintains a luxury-first approach with carbon fiber accents, ensuring that the aggressive performance never compromises the executive comfort required for daily UAE driving.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring BMW’s Active Guard suite which includes lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, and frontal collision mitigation as standard. These systems are particularly valuable on fast-moving multi-lane highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. The M-specific braking system and Dynamic Stability Control are also tuned to handle the car's immense power, providing a crucial safety margin during emergency maneuvers at higher speeds.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a performance enthusiast looking for a low-mileage, modern M5 at a more accessible price point due to its regional spec. It offers supercar performance in a daily-driver package that has seen significantly less wear than most 2019 models currently on the market.
