Summary

This 2019 Ferrari 488 Pista is a definitive collector-grade example of Maranello’s track-honed special series. With low mileage for the GCC market and the highly desirable Red exterior, it represents a strong investment opportunity and a peak performance benchmark. As the lightweight evolution of the 488 GTB, the Pista offers a raw, motorsport-derived experience that stands above its standard production siblings. Its GCC specification ensures full compliance with regional cooling and service requirements, making it a reliable choice for the discerning UAE enthusiast. This listing provides a rare chance to own one of the final, pure-combustion V8 special series Ferraris before the shift to hybrid platforms.

This Car vs Other 2019 488 Pistas

With just 10,500 km, this Pista sits well below the average annual use seen in the GCC, where high-speed highway commuting often inflates mileage quickly. The traditional Red finish is the most liquid color for Ferrari resale in the UAE and wider region, ensuring maximum desirability among future collectors. Its GCC regional spec further distinguishes it from imported units, providing peace of mind regarding local service history and climate-specific hardware.

High Spec vs Lower Trims

The Pista is the range-topping special series that adds 50 hp and sheds 90 kg compared to the standard 488 GTB. This High Spec trim features extensive carbon fiber across the front S-Duct, rear diffuser, and engine cover—options that GCC buyers prioritize for both performance and aesthetic value. It also includes the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE), a sophisticated lateral dynamics control system not available on the base models.

488 Pista vs Segment Rivals

Against rivals like the McLaren 720S and Porsche 911 GT2 RS, the Ferrari leads with its emotional engine character and prestigious special-series lineage. While the 720S is a formidable technical competitor, the Pista offers 20% more downforce than the 488 GTB, providing superior high-speed stability on GCC circuits like Yas Marina. Its Formula 1-derived S-Duct aerodynamics offer a level of racing technology that few road-legal competitors can match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 12.8 L/100km combined, though city driving in stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh will see this figure rise. Ferrari’s authorized service network is exceptionally strong across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with annual service intervals typically occurring every 20,000 km or 12 months. The 488 Pista has demonstrated remarkable value retention in the GCC, often trading at or above its original MSRP due to limited production numbers and its status as a collector's icon.

Performance & Capability

The 3.9L twin-turbo V8 delivers 710 hp and 770 Nm of torque, enabling a blistering 0–200 km/h sprint in just 7.6 seconds. This performance is managed by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that shifts in 30 milliseconds, providing seamless power delivery for high-speed highway overtaking. The car’s Side-Slip Angle Control (SSC 6.0) allows for precise handling, making it as capable on a technical track as it is refined on a weekend drive to Jebel Jais.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2-seat cabin is a focused environment of Alcantara and carbon fiber, designed to save weight without sacrificing Italian style. The powerful GCC-spec climate control system is engineered to handle extreme summer heat, ensuring the cabin remains comfortable even in 45°C temperatures. Despite its track focus, the interior features the updated infotainment and digital displays expected of a modern Ferrari, offering a balanced environment for long-distance grand touring.

Safety

Standard safety features include High Performance ABS with Ferrari Pre-Fill for immediate stopping power, F1-Trac traction control, and E-Diff3 for optimal stability during aggressive cornering. The integrated Side Slip Angle Control works with the magnetorheological dampers to provide a safety net that adapts to varying grip levels on sandy or hot asphalt. These active systems ensure that the Pista’s massive power remains manageable and safe on public UAE roads.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 488 Pista is an impeccable choice for a collector seeking a low-mileage, high-specification example of Ferrari’s legendary special series V8.
