Summary

This 2020 F-150 Lariat offers a potent combination of 450 horsepower and refined cabin luxury, making it a standout in the GCC used truck market. The grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, maintaining its visual appeal despite the dust and heat while ensuring strong resale value. Positioned above the XLT, this trim provides the leather-appointed interior and cooling features that are essential for local summer driving. Whether you are hauling gear across the Emirates or commuting between cities, this truck delivers consistent performance and stability. For the UAE buyer, the reliable Ford service network provides long-term peace of mind for both maintenance and parts.

This Car vs Other 2020 F-150s

With 122,000 km, this truck sits at a typical mileage for a four-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where long-distance highway commutes are standard. Unlike base models often used for heavy labor, this Lariat trim has been configured for comfort, preserving the interior condition. The grey exterior remains one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE and Saudi markets for its ease of maintenance and high resale demand.

LARIAT vs Lower Trims

Moving up from the XLT to the Lariat adds premium features that define the GCC driving experience, most notably the ventilated front seats which are vital during peak summer. You also gain a leather-trimmed interior, power-adjustable pedals with memory settings, and an upgraded 8-inch productivity screen in the instrument cluster. These enhancements transform the F-150 from a basic work tool into a comfortable executive daily driver.

F-150 vs Segment Rivals

The F-150 leads the half-ton segment with its high-strength aluminum-alloy body, which reduces weight to improve handling on fast-moving UAE highways compared to the heavier steel frames of the Chevrolet Silverado and RAM 1500. Its 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine provides superior low-end torque for overtaking, while the larger fuel tank options common in this model offer a greater cruising range for cross-border trips to Oman or Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 3.5L powertrain typically averages between 12.5 and 14 L/100km depending on GCC traffic conditions, benefitting from the 10-speed automatic's efficiency on the highway. As a Canadian spec vehicle, it shares mechanical components with GCC models, ensuring that parts are readily available at authorized centers and independent garages across the UAE. The F-150 historically holds its value well in the region, with the Lariat trim specifically seeing less annual depreciation than entry-level work trims.

Performance & Capability

The high-output 3.5L engine delivers 450 hp and 691 Nm of torque, providing effortless acceleration that is particularly useful for merging onto 140 km/h motorways. With a maximum towing capacity of nearly 6,000 kg, it is perfectly suited for transporting boats or desert trailers. The All-Wheel Drive system and selectable drive modes—including Tow/Haul and Sport—ensure the truck remains composed whether on tarmac or light gravel trails.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the Gulf's climate, featuring dual-zone automatic climate control and a powerful AC system that cools the spacious 5-seat interior rapidly. Premium leather seating surfaces and woodgrain accents provide an upscale feel, while acoustic glass helps insulate the cabin from highway wind noise. The SuperCrew configuration ensures ample legroom for rear passengers, making it a viable alternative to a luxury SUV for family road trips.

Safety

This F-150 comes equipped with Ford's suite of safety technologies, including Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, which is essential for multi-lane driving in Dubai and Riyadh. Standard features also include Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and a rearview camera to assist with parking in tight urban spaces. The high-strength steel frame provides a robust protective cell for all occupants in the event of an impact.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking a high-performance pickup that doesn't sacrifice luxury, this Lariat offers the ideal balance of power and regional practicality. It is a smart opportunity to own a top-tier truck with a verified service history in one of the market's most resilient colors.
