Summary

This 2020 Maserati Quattroporte S offers a rare combination of Italian exotic soul and executive sedan practicality, featuring remarkably low mileage for the GCC market. Its black exterior is one of the most desirable colors for resale in the region, providing a significant advantage when it comes time to trade. While competitors focus on clinical efficiency, the Quattroporte stands out with its Ferrari-derived powertrain and a distinctive exhaust note that is unmatched in this segment. For the UAE buyer, this GCC-spec example provides the perfect balance of prestige and performance, ensuring reliable operation in local climate conditions while maintaining its high-end appeal. This is a car for the driver who wants a grand tourer that feels as special on the school run as it does on a high-speed cruise to Abu Dhabi.

This Car vs Other 2020 Quattroportes

With just 36,500 km on the odometer, this Quattroporte has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. This low usage translates to less wear on the engine and suspension, offering a like-new mechanical feel. The black-on-black aesthetic remains the gold standard for luxury resale in Dubai and across the UAE, ensuring better value retention compared to niche colors.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim is a substantial step up from the base Quattroporte, increasing power from 350 hp to a potent 430 hp and adding the essential Skyhook adaptive suspension. GCC buyers will appreciate the addition of higher-grade leather and more comprehensive driver assistance features that come standard on the S. It provides the high-performance feel of the GTS V8 but with the improved fuel efficiency and lighter front-end handling of the V6.

Quattroporte vs Segment Rivals

While the Porsche Panamera and BMW 7 Series offer clinical precision, the Maserati leads with character and emotional engagement thanks to its Ferrari-assembled engine. It offers a more exclusive presence on GCC roads where German rivals are ubiquitous. Additionally, the Quattroporte provides a larger 530-liter boot space, making it a more practical choice for family weekend trips between emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages roughly 12.8 L/100km, which is competitive for a high-performance executive sedan during highway cruises across the region. Service intervals are recommended every 15,000 km or 12 months at authorized centers like Al Tayer, ensuring the Ferrari-derived engine remains in peak condition. As a GCC-spec model, it avoids the warranty and cooling concerns associated with imported specs, helping it maintain a stable depreciation curve relative to other European luxury sedans.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this Quattroporte is the 430 hp twin-turbo V6, which enables a top speed of 288 km/h and effortless highway overtaking. The Rear Wheel Drive setup provides a classic sports sedan feel, while the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for both smooth city crawling and rapid shifts in Sport mode. The Skyhook suspension continuously adapts to the road, ensuring a composed ride even on varied surfaces.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a showcase of Italian craftsmanship, featuring premium leather and a spacious rear cabin that comfortably accommodates three adults. Standard ventilated front seats and a powerful dual-zone climate control system are essential for the UAE summer, cooling the cabin rapidly even in extreme heat. The 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system provides a high-fidelity soundtrack to complement the engine's natural burble.

Safety

This Quattroporte S comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite designed for high-speed highway environments. Key features include Adaptive Cruise Control for relaxed long-distance drives, Blind Spot Alert to assist in fast-moving Dubai traffic, and Forward Collision Warning with autonomous braking. The reinforced chassis and multi-stage airbag system provide peace of mind for both the driver and family passengers.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a buyer seeking a low-mileage, GCC-spec Italian icon that offers more soul and exclusivity than the standard German luxury options.
