Summary

This 2020 CLA250 AMG presents a rare opportunity for GCC buyers, featuring remarkably low mileage of just 6,800 km—effectively a time-capsule vehicle that avoids the standard four-year wear seen in the local market. Finished in black, it occupies the most desirable resale color bracket in the region, ensuring strong value retention for future trade-ins. The AMG styling package elevates its presence on UAE roads compared to standard models, offering a sharper look without the high maintenance costs of a full AMG engine. As an all-wheel-drive sedan, it provides superior stability during occasional rainy days or on high-speed desert highways, making it a sophisticated daily driver for the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2020 CLA250s

At just 6,800 km, this vehicle’s mileage is exceptionally low for a four-year-old car in the GCC, where the annual average typically exceeds 20,000 km. While most 2020 models on the market have surpassed the 80,000 km mark, this Canadian-spec unit offers a nearly-new mechanical state. Its black exterior is a primary choice for UAE buyers, significantly aiding its liquidity and value in the secondary market.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim adds significant visual and tactile upgrades over the base CLA250, including a more aggressive front apron, side skirts, and sportier interior finishes that GCC buyers prioritize. Inside, it features the enhanced MBUX digital cockpit with twin displays, providing a much more premium feel than the basic instrument clusters found in entry-level versions. The Canadian-spec AMG Line often includes heated elements as standard, providing extra comfort during cooler desert winter mornings.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

The CLA250 leads rivals like the Audi A3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe with its 'four-door coupe' silhouette, offering a more executive presence for professionals in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its cabin tech, specifically the natural language voice control, is often cited as more intuitive for daily navigation in fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The inclusion of standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive gives it a traction advantage over front-wheel-drive competitors in its class.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.0L turbo engine typically averages around 8.7 L/100km, which is efficient for daily commuting between Emirates. Mercedes-Benz has an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are readily available even for regional-spec imports. While German luxury sedans typically depreciate by 12–15% annually in the GCC, the ultra-low mileage and popular color of this specific car will help it hold a premium over higher-mileage alternatives.

Performance & Capability

With 221 hp and a 0–100 km/h time of 6.3 seconds, this sedan provides swift overtaking power for the E11 and other major highways. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission delivers crisp shifts, while the 4MATIC system intelligently distributes torque to maintain grip during high-speed cornering. Its electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h ensures it remains composed and quiet during long-distance drives across the GCC borders.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the MBUX widescreen cockpit, which offers high-resolution graphics and seamless smartphone integration for long commutes. Despite its compact footprint, the four-door layout provides easy access for five passengers, while the dual-zone climate control is built to handle high ambient temperatures efficiently. High-quality synthetic leather seats and ambient lighting create a luxury environment that rivals larger executive sedans.

Safety

This CLA250 is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist, and a standard rearview camera to aid in tight urban parking. The Canadian specification includes advanced stability controls and multiple airbags that contributed to its 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Blind Spot Assist is particularly valuable for navigating the fast, multi-lane highways common in the UAE and Riyadh.

The bottom line

For a buyer seeking a prestigious Mercedes-Benz that looks and feels new but without the new-car price tag, this ultra-low mileage AMG-line sedan is the best value opportunity currently available in the region.
