Summary

This 2020 RAM 1500 Limited represents the peak of American pickup luxury, combining a legendary HEMI V8 with a cabin that rivals high-end European sedans. Finished in Silver, a top-tier color for heat rejection and resale value in the UAE, this truck offers a sophisticated presence for both executive commuting and desert weekends. The Limited trim is particularly sought after in the GCC for its superior cooling capabilities and massive 12-inch vertical display. With 117,000 km, it has been driven at a typical regional pace, ensuring the powertrain is well-settled for its next owner. This is the ideal choice for a buyer who needs genuine towing power without sacrificing interior refinement.

This Car vs Other 2020 RAM 1500s

With 117,000 km on the odometer, this RAM has averaged roughly 23,000 km per year, which is perfectly aligned with the GCC average for a highway-bound pickup. The Silver exterior is a strategic advantage in the local market, as it maintains its luster better under the intense sun compared to darker tones. While many American-spec imports vary in history, this Limited trim remains a high-value target due to its mechanical longevity.

LIMITED vs Lower Trims

The Limited trim is a significant step up from the Laramie, adding standard 4-corner air suspension for a smoother ride and the iconic 12-inch Uconnect vertical touchscreen. GCC buyers will appreciate the upgraded leather quality, real wood interior accents, and the power-deployable running boards that make entry easier in local parking conditions. It also features premium LED projector headlamps and blind-spot monitoring with trailer detection as standard.

RAM 1500 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Ford F-150 Platinum and Chevrolet Silverado High Country, the RAM 1500 Limited leads with a superior coil-spring or air-suspension setup that eliminates the 'truck-like' bounce on Dubai's multi-lane highways. Its 5.7L HEMI V8 offers a classic, reliable power delivery that many regional enthusiasts prefer over smaller turbocharged alternatives. The interior tech and screen real estate remain the benchmark for the segment, providing a more modern user experience.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.7L V8 typically sees a combined fuel consumption of 13.8L/100km, which is competitive for a full-size truck during long-distance drives between emirates. While this is an American spec vehicle, parts for the RAM 1500 are widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia due to the model's massive popularity. Resale value for the Limited trim remains strong in the GCC, typically depreciating at a slower rate than European luxury SUVs while offering similar cabin amenities.

Performance & Capability

The 395 hp HEMI V8 provides effortless overtaking on the E11 and a verified maximum towing capacity of 5,266 kg, making it a powerhouse for hauling boats or trailers. The All-Wheel Drive system provides confidence during sudden sand drifts on highway shoulders or gravel tracks. Its 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, ensuring the truck remains composed even when fully loaded under the summer heat.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring highly effective ventilated front seats and a powerful dual-zone AC system that cools the large interior quickly. Rear passengers enjoy class-leading legroom and dedicated cooling vents, essential for family trips during the hotter months. Acoustic glass and active noise cancellation ensure a quiet environment, shielding occupants from wind noise during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

Standard safety features on the Limited trim include a 360-degree Surround View Camera, which is indispensable for maneuvering a full-size pickup in tight city parking. It also includes Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Path detection. These systems provide an extra layer of security on fast-moving GCC highways, helping to manage the vehicle's large footprint with ease.

The bottom line

This RAM 1500 Limited is the perfect match for a UAE professional who requires a rugged workhorse with a first-class interior, offering excellent resale potential in its signature Silver finish.
