Summary

This 2021 Targa 4S stands out as a rare collector-grade opportunity, especially in its distinctive Green finish which remains a high-demand palette in the GCC luxury segment. With mileage significantly below the average for a five-year-old vehicle in the UAE, this example offers the mechanical freshness of a much newer car. The Targa 4S is the ideal middle ground for those who want the rigid silhouette of a coupe with the open-air capability of a convertible at the touch of a button. For the GCC owner, this specific European-spec model provides a unique combination of high-output performance and the iconic Targa roll bar aesthetic that turns heads from Dubai to Riyadh.

This Car vs Other 2021 911s

At just over 15,000 km, this vehicle has covered less than 4,000 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. While many 911s from this era have already seen heavy highway use between emirates, this example has been preserved in a manner that protects its suspension and interior from the typical wear of local climate cycles. The Green exterior is a standout choice that provides a stronger resale narrative than common silver or white units among enthusiast circles.

TARGA 4S vs Lower Trims

The 4S trim is a substantial leap over the standard Targa 4, adding an extra 65 hp and 80 Nm of torque, which slashes the 0–100 km/h time by over half a second. Beyond the power, the 4S comes standard with larger 20/21-inch staggered wheels and red-painted six-piston calipers that provide the necessary stopping power for regional highway speeds. It also includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with a lower ride height and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), features that are highly valued by GCC buyers for their superior high-speed stability.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The 911 Targa 4S occupies a unique niche against rivals like the Maserati MC20 Cielo or the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster. Its complex motorized glass roof provides better cabin insulation and heat rejection during the peak GCC summer months compared to traditional soft-tops. Additionally, the 911’s clever all-wheel-drive system offers more predictable handling on the dust-slicked asphalt common across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this twin-turbo flat-six averages around 10.5 L/100km, though this will increase in stop-start city traffic in Downtown Dubai. As a European-spec vehicle, owners should ensure fuel is restricted to high-octane Super 98 to maintain engine health in the local heat. Porsche enjoys one of the strongest resale values of any luxury brand in the GCC, with the 911 typically retaining significantly more value after three years compared to its Italian or British counterparts. Service centers are widely available across major GCC cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh.

Performance & Capability

The 444 hp output allows for effortless overtaking on the E11 highway, reaching a verified top speed of 304 km/h. The 8-speed PDK transmission is widely regarded as the fastest-shifting gearbox in the industry, providing immediate response when navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic. With its intelligent all-wheel-drive system, the car maintains exceptional grip even during the rare but heavy rain showers that can make GCC roads challenging.

Comfort & Cabin

The Targa's cabin is a 2+2 layout, providing enough rear space for small children or extra luggage for weekend trips to Fujairah. The sophisticated air conditioning system is engineered to handle extreme temperatures, ensuring the cabin remains cool even when the external temperature exceeds 45°C. With the roof closed, the wraparound rear glass offers a level of acoustic insulation and panoramic visibility that standard convertibles cannot match.

Safety

Standard safety features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and advanced traction control, which are vital for maintaining composure on sandy or gravel-strewn surfaces. The 4S also comes with powerful six-piston front brakes that offer consistent performance under the heat-stress of regional driving. European-spec safety tech often includes Lane Change Assist and ParkAssist, providing essential visibility for modern GCC highway commuting.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who demands a low-mileage 992-generation Porsche in a unique color, this Targa 4S offers the perfect balance of performance and iconic design for the GCC lifestyle.
