Summary

This 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce is a standout choice for those seeking a true driver's car that breaks away from the German luxury norm. With its signature Blue exterior—a color that maintains strong desirability in the UAE—and a mechanical limited-slip differential as standard, it offers a level of agility that rivals often leave on the options list. The Veloce trim sits in the sweet spot of the lineup, providing near-Quadrifoglio levels of aesthetic aggression and performance without the high running costs of a V6. For a GCC buyer, the blend of low mileage for its age and the presence of a full ADAS safety suite makes this a secure and exhilarating daily commuter. It is the definitive pick for the enthusiast who values precise Italian steering and 50/50 weight distribution on the fast-moving highways of the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2022 Giulias

With 56,573 km on the odometer, this Giulia is sitting slightly below the average annual mileage for GCC-based executive sedans, which often see 25,000 km per year. The Blue exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the standard white and silver, offering better heat deflection than black while retaining high resale demand in the UAE market.

VELOCE vs Lower Trims

The Veloce trim is a significant step up from the Sprint and Ti, adding a mechanical limited-slip differential for superior cornering and a more aggressive rear diffuser. Inside, it gains 14-way power-adjustable sport seats and column-mounted aluminum paddle shifters, features that are highly prized by regional buyers for both their tactile feel and value retention.

Giulia vs Segment Rivals

While the BMW 330i and Audi A4 focus on clinical efficiency, the Giulia leads the segment in standard power with 280 hp and a class-exclusive carbon fiber driveshaft for reduced rotational mass. Its 50/50 weight distribution provides a more balanced handling profile during high-speed highway interchanges compared to its front-heavy competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 6.9 L/100km on combined cycles, though stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh may see slightly higher figures. Authorized service centers are well-established in the UAE via Gargash Motors and across the wider GCC through dedicated partners like Petromin in Saudi Arabia. This GCC-spec model holds value better than imported versions due to its local warranty history and regional cooling specifications.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L turbocharged engine delivers a punchy 400 Nm of torque, enabling a swift 0–100 km/h sprint of just 5.2 seconds. The Rear Wheel Drive architecture is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, offering lightning-fast shifts that make overtaking on the E11 effortless. The DNA drive mode selector allows the car to transition from a fuel-efficient highway cruiser to a sharp-edged sports sedan at the turn of a dial.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the driver, featuring high-grade leather upholstery and an 8.8-inch multitouch display with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For the GCC climate, the dual-zone automatic climate control is exceptionally effective, complemented by rear air vents to keep all five passengers comfortable during summer drives. The 480-litre boot provides ample space for weekend trips between the Emirates or airport runs.

Safety

This Veloce comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning, which are essential for long-distance desert highway travel. Active Blind Spot Assist provides an extra layer of safety in fast-moving multi-lane traffic, while the standard 360-degree parking sensors and rear-view camera ensure easy maneuvering in tight urban spaces. It holds a 5-star safety rating, backed by a reinforced chassis and eight standard airbags.

The bottom line

This Giulia Veloce is the perfect opportunity for a buyer who wants a low-mileage, high-spec Italian sport sedan that stands out in the UAE's sea of German rivals.
