Summary

This specific sedan represents a rare combination of lower-than-average mileage for a four-year-old vehicle in the UAE and the highly desirable GCC regional specification. Finished in a professional Grey, it benefits from the strongest resale color profile in the local market, ensuring long-term value retention. As the xDrive variant, it provides exceptional stability for high-speed highway commuting between Emirates while maintaining the prestige of BMW's flagship grand tourer. For a GCC buyer, this listing offers the mechanical peace of mind of a vehicle that has covered roughly half the typical annual distance expected in this region.

This Car vs Other 2022 M850is

With just 29,764 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Being a GCC-spec model, it features the factory-upgraded cooling systems and air conditioning units necessary for the local climate, unlike North American or European imports. The Grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand choice in the secondary market, which helps stabilize its value against faster-depreciating luxury rivals.

xDrive vs Lower Trims

Moving up to this trim replaces the standard 6-cylinder engine with a potent 4.4L V8, adding nearly 200 horsepower for effortless highway overtaking. It introduces standard ventilated front seats, which are essential for GCC summers, and the Adaptive M Suspension Professional for superior cornering stability. The xDrive system also includes a rear-biased all-wheel-drive setup and an M Sport differential, providing grip that the base rear-wheel-drive 840i lacks.

M850i vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door or the Porsche Panamera, this car offers a more balanced grand-touring experience with a larger focus on rear-seat passenger comfort. Its V8 powertrain provides significantly more torque than entry-level rivals, making it better suited for the long-distance, high-speed highway runs common in the GCC. The inclusion of a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and Head-up Display as standard equipment gives it a competitive edge in cabin technology.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this V8 averages approximately 11.0 L/100km on combined routes, though city driving in stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh will see this rise. BMW maintains one of the most robust authorized service networks across all major GCC cities, ensuring parts availability and expert maintenance is never an issue. While luxury German sedans typically see 12-15% annual depreciation, this car's low mileage and GCC status make it a top-tier candidate for value retention at the 5-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 3.9-second 0-100 km/h acceleration, powered by 750 Nm of torque available from low in the rev range. This makes the car exceptionally capable of merging into fast-moving highway traffic or cruising at sustained speeds with minimal engine strain. The xDrive all-wheel-drive system and 8-speed Steptronic transmission are tuned to handle the extreme heat of the region without compromising on shift speed or smoothness.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed as a 4-seater, the cabin provides dedicated space and individual comfort zones for every passenger, including rear climate controls. The front seats feature both heating and ventilation, paired with high-quality leather upholstery that stays comfortable during peak summer months. Excellent cabin insulation effectively blocks out road noise and exterior heat, creating a refined environment for long cross-border drives between GCC nations.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety tech including Blind Spot Monitoring and Lane Departure Warning, which are vital for navigating the UAE’s multi-lane highway systems. The standard 360-degree camera and parking sensors make maneuvering this large sedan effortless in tight city spaces. Additionally, the xDrive system and M Sport brakes provide high levels of active safety by maintaining traction and stopping power on surfaces affected by sand or sudden rain.

The bottom line

This M850i is the ideal choice for a professional looking for a low-mileage, GCC-spec grand tourer that avoids the heavy depreciation of a new purchase while offering full V8 performance. Its high specification and excellent local market color make it one of the most sensible luxury sedan investments currently available.
