Summary

This vehicle represents one of the most powerful four-door sedans ever produced, making it a highly sought-after performance icon in the GCC market. With mileage significantly below the typical annual average for the UAE, this specific example offers a rare opportunity to own a modern powerhouse that remains in peak mechanical condition. The black exterior is a premier choice for resale in this region, ensuring it holds its value better than more niche color options. While the engine output is the headline, the practical four-door configuration makes it surprisingly usable for daily driving across the Emirates. Buyers will appreciate that this trim level includes the most aggressive widebody styling and performance upgrades that are often expensive to add later. The most important consideration for a local buyer is the sheer cooling capacity and heavy-duty components designed to handle high-stress driving in our warm climate. This is a chance to secure a high-performance machine that bridges the gap between a track-ready monster and a comfortable highway cruiser.

This Car vs Other 2022 Chargers

In the GCC market, where the average annual mileage for a performance sedan typically reaches 20,000 to 25,000 kilometers, this vehicle sits at a significant advantage. Having covered roughly half the expected distance for its age, it presents as a much newer vehicle mechanically than its peers. The black-on-black aesthetic is particularly favored in the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets, which translates to a faster sale and higher price retention when it eventually returns to the used market. While many 2022 models may show signs of heavy wear on high-traffic highways, this lower-mileage example maintains a tighter feel in the suspension and steering. Choosing a car with this usage profile minimizes immediate maintenance concerns and maximizes the remaining life of the specialized high-performance components. It is a strategically sound choice for a collector or an enthusiast who values mechanical longevity.

SRT HELLCAT WB REDEYE vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to this specific trim introduces a massive leap in capability over the standard Hellcat or Scat Pack variants. The most obvious upgrade is the factory widebody kit, which adds 3.5 inches of width to accommodate 11-inch wide wheels, providing the necessary mechanical grip for the 717-horsepower output. Inside, this trim typically features the premium Laguna leather upholstery and the carbon fiber interior accents that GCC buyers look for in a top-tier American muscle car. Unlike lower trims, this model comes standard with the SRT Power Chiller, which diverts air conditioning refrigerant to help cool the intake air—a feature that is invaluable during the intense heat of a Dubai or Riyadh summer. You also benefit from a more robust ZF eight-speed automatic transmission recalibrated for much faster shifts. The inclusion of the 220-mph speedometer and unique badging serves as a constant reminder that this is the apex of the model range.

Charger vs Segment Rivals

While European rivals like the BMW M5 or Mercedes-AMG E63 offer high performance, this vehicle leads the segment in raw, unadulterated muscle and presence on the road. It provides a larger cabin and more substantial road presence than the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, making it better suited for those who need a true five-seater. The large fuel tank is an often-overlooked advantage, allowing for fewer stops on long cross-country drives from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. Its cooling system is notoriously over-engineered for the price point, often outperforming the thermal management of more delicate European sports sedans during peak summer heat. For a buyer who wants the loudest personality and the most aggressive stance in the executive sedan segment, there is simply no equal. It successfully blends the utility of a family car with the soul of a drag racer in a way its rivals cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership of such a high-output machine involves specific considerations for the GCC region. Real-world fuel consumption reflects the high-displacement V8, though it manages respectable efficiency during highway cruising between emirates. High-octane fuel is a requirement to maintain the engine's health, which is readily available at all local stations. Servicing intervals are standard, but the specialized nature of the supercharged engine means that using authorized service centers in Dubai or Abu Dhabi is critical for maintaining future resale value. In the GCC market, the depreciation for this specific trim is notably lower than the base V6 or V8 models due to its limited production status and high demand among enthusiasts. After three years, these flagship models often retain a higher percentage of their value compared to standard luxury sedans. American spec cars are common in the UAE, though buyers should ensure they have a trusted garage familiar with US-market parts, which are widely available across the region.

Performance & Capability

The centerpiece of this vehicle is the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8, delivering an incredible 717 horsepower to the rear wheels. This power allows for a 0-100 km/h sprint in under 4 seconds, a figure that places it in the elite category of modern performance cars. On the wide, well-maintained highways of the UAE, the car feels exceptionally stable, offering effortless overtaking power at any speed. It features several SRT-specific drive modes, including a dedicated Track mode that stiffens the adaptive damping suspension for maximum cornering flat-ness. The Launch Control and Line Lock features are standard, providing professional-grade performance tools accessible to any driver. Despite its aggressive nature, the car is an excellent grand tourer, capable of eating up hundreds of desert kilometers with ease and comfort. It remains one of the few sedans that can legitimately dominate a drag strip on Friday and take the family to brunch on Saturday.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is designed to balance high-performance needs with long-distance comfort, featuring heavily bolstered seats that remain comfortable during long drives to Fujairah or Al Ain. Both front seats are usually equipped with heating and ventilation, a critical feature for surviving the GCC summer months. The Uconnect infotainment system remains one of the most intuitive in the industry, featuring a large touchscreen with integrated Performance Pages for monitoring engine vitals in real-time. Cabin insulation is remarkably good, keeping the engine's roar outside when you want to enjoy the premium Harman Kardon audio system. Rear passengers benefit from ample legroom and dedicated air conditioning vents, ensuring the car remains a viable family option. The boot space is cavernous for a performance sedan, easily accommodating several large suitcases or golf bags. It is a cabin that feels purposeful, high-tech, and incredibly spacious.

Safety

Safety in a car with this much power is paramount, and it comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of active systems. Standard features often include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection, which are essential for navigating the fast-moving, multi-lane traffic common in major GCC cities. The high-performance Brembo braking system provides immense stopping power, ensuring the car can be reined in quickly and predictably. Electronic stability control with three modes allows the driver to tailor the safety net based on road conditions, whether it is a dry highway or a rare rainy day in the desert. Adaptive cruise control makes long highway stretches far less fatiguing by maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles automatically. It is a robust safety package designed to keep all 717 horses under control while protecting its five occupants with advanced airbag systems and a reinforced high-strength steel frame.

The bottom line

This 2022 Redeye is the perfect match for the GCC enthusiast who demands the highest possible performance without sacrificing the utility of a four-door sedan. With its low mileage and highly desirable color, it represents one of the strongest value propositions for a modern muscle car currently available in the regional market.
