Summary

This 2022 GLE 53 AMG Coupe offers a compelling balance of performance and presence, finished in a resale-strong Grey that consistently performs well in the GCC market. With mileage that aligns perfectly with regional averages for a three-year-old performance SUV, it remains a fresh and mechanically sound choice for the next owner. The mild-hybrid powertrain is particularly well-suited to the UAE's mix of stop-start city traffic and high-speed highway cruising, providing immediate torque when needed. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it ensures full compatibility with local service centers and is factory-prepared for the extreme heat of the region. This listing represents a sharp opportunity to own a current-generation AMG Coupe without the steep initial depreciation of a showroom-new model.

This Car vs Other 2022 GLE 53 AMGs

With 62,622 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits comfortably at the average usage mark for the GCC, where 20,000–25,000 km annually is the norm. The Grey exterior is one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring it will hold its appeal much better than more niche shades at trade-in time. Being a GCC-spec model, it carries the correct cooling systems and software for the Middle East, a vital differentiator against North American imports.

COUPE 4MATIC+ vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the AMG GLE 53 from the standard GLE 450 introduces the high-performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system and the distinct Panamericana vertical-slat grille. Inside, this trim typically gains the AMG Performance steering wheel and Nappa leather sports seats as standard, features that command a significant premium in the local used market. It also includes the AMG Ride Control+ air suspension, which allows for adjustable ground clearance—perfect for navigating both sleek city roads and uneven terrain.

GLE 53 AMG vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW X6 xDrive40i or the Porsche Cayenne Coupe, the GLE 53 leads with its integration of the MBUX digital cockpit and a larger standard feature list. Its 3,500 kg towing capacity is a significant highlight for those transporting jet skis or trailers between emirates. The 48V mild-hybrid system provides a smoother stop-start experience in heavy traffic compared to many of its pure-combustion rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.3 to 10.5 L/100km, which is impressive for a 435 hp vehicle in GCC conditions. Maintenance follows a standard 15,000 km or 12-month interval, with an extensive network of authorized Mercedes-Benz service centers available across all major GCC cities. While AMG models typically see higher depreciation than standard SUVs, the GLE 53 Coupe maintains a strong floor in the UAE market due to the high local demand for the coupe body style.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0L electrified inline-six delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 5.3 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 or E311 highways. The EQ Boost system provides an additional 250 Nm of electric torque to eliminate turbo lag, while the AMG Speedshift 9-speed transmission ensures rapid, crisp shifts. With a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h, it offers performance that matches its aggressive, fastback styling.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for long-distance GCC road trips, featuring powerful air conditioning and standard ventilated front seats to combat the summer heat. Acoustic glass and high-quality cabin insulation keep the interior quiet, even at highway speeds, while the Burmester surround sound system provides a premium audio experience. The 12.3-inch dual-screen setup is standard, offering intuitive navigation through the MBUX interface for regional travel.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with the standard inclusion of Blind Spot Assist and Active Brake Assist, which are essential for fast-moving multi-lane traffic in cities like Dubai or Riyadh. The 360-degree camera system makes parking the wide-bodied coupe effortless, while the 4MATIC+ system provides superior stability on gravel-strewn desert fringes or during rare seasonal rains. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping systems are also standard, significantly reducing driver fatigue on long cross-border drives.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the prestige and performance of an AMG without the overhead of a V8, offered in the most desirable GCC spec and color combination.
