With a mileage of 79,000 km, it sits right at the average for a two-year-old vehicle in the UAE, indicating it has been utilized for the typical long-distance highway commutes the region is known for. The Luxury trim is the highest available for this model, providing a significant technology and comfort boost over the Standard and Comfort variants. As a GCC-spec model, it is factory-optimized for extreme summer temperatures with a cooling system designed for peak performance. This listing is an ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking a modern, fuel-efficient sedan that doesn't compromise on cabin tech or curb appeal.

This Car vs Other 2022 MG 6s

At 79,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is consistent with typical GCC annual use, where highway driving between Emirates often results in higher yearly totals than international averages. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring it remains easier to resell compared to niche colors. Choosing a Luxury trim from this year ensures you receive the maximum feature set available for this generation.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim upgrades the driving experience with 18-inch alloy wheels and a full leather interior, which are significant steps up from the smaller rims and fabric seats found on Standard and Comfort trims. It also includes 6 airbags compared to just 2 in lower versions, providing essential safety for family use. Additional high-value features for this trim include a power-adjustable driver’s seat and a 360-degree camera system that simplifies parking in tight urban spaces.

MG 6 vs Segment Rivals

The MG 6 leads rivals like the Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra by offering a turbocharged engine as standard, providing 250 Nm of torque for superior highway overtaking. While many competitors in this price bracket use traditional CVTs, the MG 6 utilizes a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission for a more engaging, sporty feel. Its fastback design also offers a more generous boot opening than traditional sedans, making it easier to load bulky luggage or groceries.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is a standout feature, with the 1.5L turbo engine achieving approximately 5.8 L/100km on highway drives, making it highly economical for cross-emirate commutes. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and MG’s extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures parts and maintenance are readily available. While European luxury sedans depreciate faster, the MG 6 has shown stable demand in the GCC, typically retaining 50-65% of its value after three years.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine produces a verified 169 hp, allowing for a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 7.1 seconds, which is among the quickest in the compact sedan segment. The 7-speed DCT transmission provides crisp shifts that are particularly noticeable when merging onto fast-moving highways like the E11. Front-wheel drive and a well-tuned suspension ensure a composed ride that handles both city stop-start traffic and high-speed cruising with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a leather-trimmed interior and an 8-inch HD touchscreen equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For the GCC climate, the dual-zone automatic climate control is highly effective, featuring dedicated rear vents to ensure all five passengers stay cool during the summer. The Luxury trim also adds a sunroof and ambient lighting, creating a premium atmosphere that rivals more expensive executive vehicles.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on this Luxury trim, featuring a total of six airbags and a 360-degree camera for total visibility. The car is equipped with essential active systems including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Brake Assist, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) which is vital for maintaining safety during high-temperature drives. The inclusion of Rear Parking Sensors and a dedicated ISOFIX system makes it a secure choice for families.

The bottom line

This MG 6 Luxury is a top-tier specification that offers a more premium experience and better performance than its Japanese rivals at a comparable price point. It is a perfect fit for a professional or small family looking for a stylish, GCC-ready sedan with modern connectivity and excellent fuel economy.
