Summary

This 2022 Mitsubishi Attrage is a standout choice for anyone seeking maximum efficiency and low ownership costs in the GCC. The GLX Highline trim offers essential modern conveniences, including a touchscreen and Apple CarPlay, while the fuel consumption of just 4.8 L/100km is among the best in its class. With white being a highly durable and high-resale color in our local market, this car is well-suited to the heat and daily commuting. It offers a straightforward, reliable driving experience that rivals struggle to match for the price. For a 4-year-old vehicle, this Attrage represents a practical path to dependable Japanese motoring.

This Car vs Other 2022 Attrages

At 79,000 km, this vehicle sits slightly below the typical GCC average for a 4-year-old commuter, which often reaches 80,000 to 100,000 km. The white exterior is the preferred choice for the region, offering the best heat reflection and the highest resale liquidity in the UAE and wider GCC market. Its maintenance history within a well-supported network ensures it remains mechanically sound compared to high-mileage fleet examples.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The GLX Highline trim elevates the Attrage experience by adding a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, features often absent in the base GLX. It also upgrades to 15-inch alloy wheels and high-grade fabric seating, providing a more premium feel. Additional conveniences like a rearview camera and steering wheel-mounted audio controls make it a much more suitable daily driver than the entry-level fleet specifications.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

The Attrage leads its primary rivals, the Suzuki Dzire and Kia Pegas, when it comes to outright fuel economy, consistently achieving sub-5.0 L/100km figures. While the Nissan Sunny offers more interior room, the Attrage is significantly easier to park in dense urban environments like Dubai or Riyadh due to its tighter turning circle. Its Japanese engineering and widespread parts availability give it a long-term reliability edge over newer entrants in the sub-compact segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are exceptionally low, with a fuel-sipping 1.2L engine that thrives on long highway stretches and congested city traffic alike. Mitsubishi maintains one of the most robust service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring affordable and quick maintenance. The Attrage typically retains about 70-80% of its value after three years in the GCC, making it one of the most fiscally responsible purchases in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The 1.2-litre MIVEC engine is designed for efficiency rather than speed, providing 78 hp that is perfectly adequate for urban commuting and steady highway cruising at 120 km/h. Its lightweight chassis and INVECS-III CVT transmission ensure smooth power delivery and ease of use in heavy traffic. While not built for the dunes, its 170 mm ground clearance is sufficient for handling speed bumps and uneven road surfaces common in growing urban areas.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Attrage focuses on functional comfort with a surprisingly spacious cabin for its exterior dimensions, comfortably seating five. The Highline trim includes automatic climate control, a critical feature for maintaining cabin temperatures during the intense GCC summers. The 450-litre boot is generous for the segment, easily accommodating grocery runs or airport luggage, while the simple layout ensures all controls are within easy reach of the driver.

Safety

This Highline trim is equipped with essential safety features including dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Active Stability Control (ASC). It also features a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Hill Start Assist, providing extra confidence when navigating steep parking ramps or highway drives. These systems are standard on the Highline, whereas lower trims often only include a single driver-side airbag.

The bottom line

Perfect for first-time buyers or professionals needing a reliable daily commuter, this Attrage combines modern tech with unmatched fuel economy in the most resale-friendly color for the region.
