Summary

This 2022 Nissan Sunny S offers a compelling balance of modern design and mechanical reliability, maintaining its status as a top choice for GCC commuters. With a fuel-efficient 1.6L engine, it is perfectly suited for daily inter-city travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi while keeping running costs remarkably low. The white exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the regional market, providing excellent heat reflection and helping to preserve the car's future value. As a 4-year-old vehicle with average mileage for the region, it presents a dependable opportunity for anyone seeking a hassle-free ownership experience backed by the strongest parts network in the Middle East.

This Car vs Other 2022 Nissan Sunnys

At 62,000 km, this Sunny sits at an ideal mileage for a 4-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where the average annual use often reaches 20,000 to 25,000 km due to highway-heavy commutes. The white exterior is a strategic advantage in the local used market, as it is the highest-demand color for resale and heat management. Compared to high-mileage examples frequently found in the regional market, this listing offers a well-preserved mechanical baseline.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim serves as the essential entry point into the N18 generation, offering the same updated 1.6L powertrain found in higher trims but with a focus on core durability. While it skips the alloy wheels of the SV, it retains the fundamental safety and comfort features GCC drivers prioritize, such as power windows and a reliable air conditioning system built for the desert heat. Choosing the S trim maximizes value retention by minimizing the depreciation often seen with tech-heavy options.

Sunny vs Segment Rivals

The Sunny leads its primary rivals, the Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Accent, in terms of cabin roominess, offering superior rear legroom for its class. Its 1.6L engine provides a more relaxed highway cruising experience than smaller-displacement competitors, making it better suited for the high-speed multi-lane roads common across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, Nissan's regional service footprint ensures that maintenance remains more convenient and affordable than with European or Chinese segment alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 1.6L powertrain is impressively low, averaging approximately 5.1 L/100km on long-distance highway drives. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 10,000 km, with authorized centers available in every major city across the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. As a GCC-spec Japanese sedan, this model enjoys one of the slowest depreciation rates in the region, typically retaining a high percentage of its value at the 3-year and 5-year marks.

Performance & Capability

The 118 hp engine is paired with a smooth CVT designed for maximum efficiency in stop-and-go city traffic and steady highway speeds. It delivers an official 0-100 km/h time of approximately 10.7 seconds, which is more than adequate for local road conditions and safe overtaking. The front-wheel-drive setup and light steering make it exceptionally easy to maneuver through tight urban parking zones and crowded residential areas.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five occupants and features a high-performance air conditioning system specifically calibrated for GCC summers. Durable fabric seating is standard, chosen for its ability to stay cool even when the car is parked in direct sunlight. Rear cooling is effective despite the compact sedan footprint, ensuring all passengers remain comfortable during long cross-country drives.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this GCC-spec Sunny includes dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). It also features Electronic Stability Control and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, which are essential for maintaining safety on fast-moving highways and during sudden temperature shifts that affect tire inflation. The reinforced chassis provides a solid foundation that meets modern safety standards for the sub-compact segment.

The bottom line

For the practical buyer who values low running costs and easy resale above all else, this white 2022 Sunny S is a reliable, market-standard choice that is ready for another four years of dependable service.
