Summary

This Nissan Sunny SV offers a balance of modern technology and high efficiency, making it an ideal choice for the daily GCC commute. At 4 years old with 60,000 km, its mileage sits perfectly within the average range for the region, suggesting a well-utilized but cared-for history. The Grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring stable resale value and easier heat management during summer. As a mid-tier SV trim, it provides essential tech upgrades like a touchscreen and sensors without the premium cost of the top-spec model. For any buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, the absolute peace of mind comes from Nissan’s massive parts availability and a service network that spans every major city.

This Car vs Other 2022 Sunnys

With 60,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged 15,000 km per year, which is considered low-to-average for a region where 20,000–25,000 km is the norm. The Grey finish is a smart choice for the UAE, offering better heat reflection than darker tones and maintaining a strong resale profile. Compared to many high-mileage fleet disposals, this individual example represents a much fresher mechanical prospect.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim is a significant step up from the base S model, introducing a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also gain critical convenience features for local driving, including rear parking sensors and a rearview camera to simplify tight city parking. The interior is further enhanced with steering wheel-mounted controls and a more refined upholstery finish compared to the entry-level variant.

Sunny vs Segment Rivals

The Sunny leads its class in practicality, offering a substantial 490-litre boot that outperforms the Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Accent for family cargo. Its 1.5-litre engine is tuned for maximum efficiency, achieving a combined 5.7 L/100km that keeps running costs lower than many rivals during heavy stop-start traffic. Additionally, the cabin offers more generous rear legroom than the Honda City, making it a more comfortable choice for adult passengers.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the sedan segment, with the engine requiring standard 95-octane petrol and benefiting from long service intervals of 10,000 km. Nissan's authorized service centers are available in every Emirate and across the GCC, ensuring parts are always affordable and accessible. The Sunny maintains one of the highest value-retention rates in the UAE market, typically losing only 8–10% annually compared to the faster depreciation seen in European rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre engine delivers 99 hp through a smooth Automatic transmission, providing a predictable and stable drive on the UAE’s fast-moving highways. It is specifically engineered to handle the extreme heat of the GCC summer, featuring a robust cooling system that ensures the engine and AC perform optimally even at 45°C. The front-wheel-drive setup and light steering make it exceptionally easy to navigate through dense urban traffic in Dubai or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Sunny features a surprisingly quiet cabin with five-passenger seating and a dual-tone fabric layout that stays cool under the sun. The air conditioning system is renowned for its power, reaching cabin-wide cooling quickly after start-up, a vital feature for the local climate. Tech highlights include the digital cockpit display and a 4-speaker audio system that integrates seamlessly with your smartphone for navigation and music.

Safety

Safety is managed through a comprehensive suite including standard ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Traction Control to maintain stability on sandy or wet roads. The SV trim comes equipped with dual front airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchors for family security. The inclusion of a rearview camera and parking sensors provides an extra layer of protection during low-speed maneuvers in crowded parking areas.

The bottom line

This Nissan Sunny SV is the perfect opportunity for a commuter seeking a modern, fuel-efficient sedan with a clean mileage profile and high resale potential in the GCC market.
