Summary

This 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S is the definitive all-weather supercar, offering a level of performance that humbles exotic rivals while remaining perfectly suited for daily use in the UAE. With 60,000 km on the clock, it has been driven as a true grand tourer, yet it remains in peak mechanical health thanks to its robust GCC-specification cooling and engineering. The grey exterior is a top-tier choice for the local used market, ensuring high desirability and strong resale value across the region. In a segment often defined by fragile exotics, this Turbo S stands out for its reliability and the sheer confidence of its advanced all-wheel-drive system. For the GCC buyer, this represents a rare opportunity to own a world-class performance icon that handles the summer heat and high-speed highway commutes with effortless composure.

This Car vs Other 2022 911s

The 60,000 km mileage on this example is slightly higher than the typical 'garage queen' average, but it reflects a car that has been maintained for regular highway use, which is often better for the PDK transmission and seals than long-term storage. In the GCC, where 20,000 km per year is common for high-end commuters, this car sits right on the expected curve for a well-utilised 2022 model. The grey finish is one of the most resilient and sought-after colours in the UAE, providing a distinct advantage for future resale compared to more niche shades.

TURBO S vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the Turbo S from the standard Turbo adds 70 additional horsepower and a host of performance hardware that would cost significantly more as individual options. It comes standard with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) for fade-free stopping power in extreme heat and 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus for superior comfort during long inter-city drives. This trim also includes the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilisation and LED Matrix headlights as standard, features that are highly valued by savvy GCC buyers.

911 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Ferrari F8 Tributo and McLaren 720S offer similar straight-line speed, the 911 Turbo S leads with its sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, providing superior traction on dusty or sandy road surfaces common in the region. It also offers a much more usable 2+2 seating configuration and a front trunk that makes it a more practical choice for weekend trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, Porsche's air conditioning systems are widely regarded as being more robust for the 45°C+ GCC summers compared to British or Italian exotics.

Running Costs & Resale

The 911 Turbo S is legendary for holding its value better than almost any other supercar in the GCC market, typically depreciating at a significantly slower rate than its Italian counterparts. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 11.5 L/100km on combined cycles, though highway cruising between Emirates can yield even better efficiency. Maintenance is straightforward with a major service typically required every 30,000 km, and Porsche’s extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ensures parts and expert technicians are always accessible.

Performance & Capability

With a verified 0–100 km/h time of 2.7 seconds, this car delivers violent acceleration that few vehicles on earth can match. The 8-speed PDK transmission is lightning-fast, and the active aerodynamics—including a variable front spoiler and rear wing—automatically adjust to provide maximum stability at its 330 km/h top speed. The all-wheel-drive system and rear-axle steering make it incredibly agile on mountain passes like Jebel Jais, while the 3.8-litre engine remains remarkably refined during low-speed city traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in ergonomics, featuring a 10.9-inch touchscreen and a premium audio system that stays crisp even at high speeds. For the GCC climate, the high-capacity climate control system and well-insulated cabin are essential, keeping the interior chilled even in the peak of July. The standard 18-way adjustable seats allow for a tailored fit, ensuring that even a three-hour drive across the desert remains a fatigue-free experience.

Safety

Safety is paramount with a full suite of driver-assist technologies including Porsche Stability Management (PSM), which is expertly tuned to intervene only when necessary. This trim includes the LED Matrix lighting system for exceptional visibility on unlit desert roads and a 360-degree camera system to assist with parking in tight urban spaces. The ceramic brakes provide a massive safety margin, offering shorter stopping distances and incredible resistance to heat soak during spirited driving.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Turbo S is the perfect choice for the enthusiast who wants 700-horsepower performance without the reliability headaches of a traditional exotic. It is a proven, high-performance daily driver that is ready for immediate enjoyment on the UAE’s world-class road network.
