• 3,500 kg braked towing capacity
• 90-litre fuel tank standard

Summary

This 2022 Porsche Cayenne offers a refined entry point into the world of performance SUVs, balancing 340 hp with daily practicality. With 89,000 km, this vehicle has been driven slightly more than the regional average, but its mechanical robustness makes it an ideal highway cruiser for cross-emirate travel. The Black exterior is a perennially strong resale choice in the GCC, ensuring better value retention when you decide to upgrade. As a Korean-spec model, it offers a high equipment level often exceeding basic regional packages, though owners should prioritize specialist servicing to maintain its sophisticated 3.0L V6. It stands out in its segment for providing genuine sports car DNA in a chassis capable of family duties and weekend getaways.

This Car vs Other 2022 Cayennes

At 89,000 km, this Cayenne’s mileage is higher than the typical GCC average for a two-year-old vehicle, which usually sits around 40,000–50,000 km. However, this often translates to a more attractive entry price for a modern-generation Porsche. The Black exterior finish is one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE and wider Gulf market, significantly helping its future liquidity compared to niche or brighter shades.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the base model for 2022, the Cayenne Standard still includes high-value features that GCC buyers prioritize, such as LED headlights and the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 12.4-inch touchscreen. It provides the essential Porsche driving experience with All-Wheel Drive and adaptive suspension dampers (PASM) included as standard, features that are often costly options on rival base trims. This specific Korean-spec unit may include regional equipment variations like enhanced seat heating or specific cabin finishes not found on base GCC-dealer cars.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

The Cayenne leads competitors like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE in terms of pure driving dynamics and brand prestige. Its 90-litre fuel tank is one of the largest in its class, providing superior range for long-distance desert highway drives between cities like Dubai and Riyadh. While rivals might focus on soft comfort, the Cayenne offers a verified 3,500 kg towing capacity, making it far more capable for those hauling boats or trailers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.0L V6 averages around 9.2L/100km on combined cycles, though GCC stop-start traffic will see this rise. As a Korean-spec vehicle, it is important to note that while parts are widely available across the UAE, the manufacturer warranty may not be valid at local GCC agencies. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km, and while Porsches face a steeper depreciation curve than Japanese SUVs, the Cayenne remains the most stable value-holder in the European luxury SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0L turbocharged V6 delivers a prompt 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 245 km/h. Its All-Wheel Drive system is tuned for on-road precision but remains highly capable for light off-road weekend adventures or gravel tracks. With 450 Nm of torque available from low RPM, highway overtaking is effortless even when the vehicle is fully loaded with passengers and luggage.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Cayenne provides a driver-centric cockpit with five full-sized seats and dual-zone automatic climate control to combat the intense GCC summer heat. The cabin is exceptionally well-insulated, providing a quiet environment for long highway commutes across the emirates. Partial leather upholstery and power-adjustable seats ensure comfort, while the 770-litre boot offers ample space for family road trips or golf sets.

Safety

The 2022 Cayenne comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Forward Collision Warning and Automated Emergency Braking as standard. The All-Wheel Drive system and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) are particularly effective on sand-dusted roads or during rare heavy rain events in the region. Front and rear parking sensors facilitate easier maneuvering in tight urban parking environments found in major GCC cities.

The bottom line

This 2022 Cayenne is the perfect choice for an executive or family looking for Porsche prestige and performance at a more accessible price point due to its mileage and regional spec.
