Summary

This 2022 Porsche Macan GTS represents the peak of the model's combustion-engine development, effectively inheriting the powertrain of the discontinued Turbo trim. With the Vehicle Age at 4 years and mileage sitting at 74,546 km, it has been driven approximately 18,600 km per year, which is significantly below the GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km. The Grey exterior is a resilient and high-demand choice for the region, ensuring strong resale liquidity. As a GCC-spec model, it features the necessary cooling and filtration systems required for long-term reliability in high-temperature environments. For the buyer seeking a sports car disguised as a family crossover, this GTS offers the sharpest handling and most prestigious badge in its segment.

This Car vs Other 2022 Macans

With an annual average of roughly 18,600 km, this Macan GTS has been used less than the typical GCC benchmark for 4-year-old vehicles. While base models are common, the GTS is a rarer enthusiast choice that holds its value far better in the secondary market. The Grey finish is particularly suited to the UAE and wider GCC, offering a sophisticated look that hides desert dust effectively while maintaining high buyer interest at resale.

GTS vs Lower Trims

The GTS sits as the top-tier performance flagship for the 2022 model year, adding a high-output 2.9L twin-turbo V6 that produces significantly more power than the Macan S. Beyond the engine, it comes standard with adaptive air suspension lowered by 10 mm, larger brakes, and a sports exhaust system that provides the signature Porsche burble. Inside, GTS-specific sport seats and darkened exterior trim elements differentiate it from the more road-biased base and S trims.

Macan vs Segment Rivals

The Macan GTS leads rivals like the BMW X3 M40i and Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 in terms of steering precision and chassis balance, largely due to its Porsche-tuned PDK dual-clutch transmission. While the X3 might offer slightly more raw cargo volume, the Macan provides a lower, more driver-focused seating position that feels closer to a 911 than a traditional SUV. Its resale value in the GCC remains the strongest in the compact performance SUV class.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption for the 2.9L twin-turbo V6 is competitive for the performance class, though stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai or Riyadh will see higher usage than cruising on the E11 highway. Porsche’s authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and specialized technicians are always accessible. As a GCC-spec performance flagship, this model typically experiences a lower depreciation rate than its European rivals, making it a sounder long-term investment.

Performance & Capability

Launching from 0–100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, the GTS delivers supercar-level acceleration combined with the stability of a sophisticated four-wheel-drive system. The 2.9L V6 is tuned for high-end delivery, making highway overtaking effortless at any speed. Multiple drive modes allow the car to transition from a comfortable city cruiser to a firm, track-ready weapon with a simple turn of the steering-wheel-mounted dial.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around the driver, featuring a 10.9-inch high-definition touchscreen and premium materials throughout. The three-zone climate control and ventilated front seats are essential for GCC summers, providing rapid cooling even in 45°C heat. Despite its performance focus, the Macan GTS remains a practical 5-seater with excellent cabin insulation from wind and road noise during long cross-border drives.

Safety

This GTS comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety tech including Porsche Traction Management (PTM) for maximum grip on both sand-dusted asphalt and wet surfaces. Standard safety features include forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and a sophisticated parking assistant with front and rear sensors. For high-speed highway commuting, the robust braking system and electronic stability management provide significant peace of mind.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a GCC buyer who wants the performance of a Porsche Turbo with the lower running costs and updated tech of a 2022 GTS. Its below-average mileage and high-demand spec make it a standout choice in the current used market.
