Summary

This 2023 BMW X6 M Competition represents the pinnacle of the high-performance SUV segment, finished in a striking Green that stands out as a unique alternative to the common monochrome options in the GCC. With just over 63,000 km, this vehicle has been driven slightly more than the regional average, suggesting it was primarily used for long-distance highway commutes where these grand tourers truly shine. As an M Competition model, it delivers track-ready dynamics that allow it to lead its class in both straight-line speed and cornering stability. The European regional specification ensures high interior refinement, though buyers should verify local service contract compatibility at BMW's extensive UAE network. For a buyer seeking the maximum expression of road presence and power, this facelift-ready example offers a significant saving over new while maintaining the aggressive LCI-adjacent styling.

This Car vs Other 2023 X6s

At 63,329 km, this X6 M Competition has been utilized for consistent highway driving, which is common for performance SUVs in the UAE. While this mileage is slightly higher than the typical 20,000 km annual average for luxury vehicles in the GCC, it indicates a mechanically active life and is often a sign of a well-maintained long-distance cruiser. The rare Green exterior is a distinctive choice that typically attracts enthusiast buyers, often aiding resale to those looking for a specific, high-visibility M-division color.

M COMPETITION vs Lower Trims

The M Competition sits at the top of the X6 hierarchy, offering 625 hp compared to the 523 hp found in the M50i trim. This flagship version adds critical hardware that GCC buyers value, including the M-tuned xDrive system, a louder M Sport exhaust, and the adaptive M suspension Professional with active roll stabilization. Inside, the Competition trim upgrades the cabin with M Multi-function seats and Extended Merino leather as standard, providing a significantly more premium atmosphere than the base xDrive40i.

X6 vs Segment Rivals

The BMW X6 M Competition is frequently cross-shopped with the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. It leads the segment in 'out-of-the-box' aggression and offers a more digitally integrated cockpit experience through the BMW Curved Display compared to older rival iterations. While the Porsche targets extreme track performance, the X6 M is often preferred in the GCC for its balance of daily usability and the widespread availability of specialized BMW M technicians across the emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this high-output V8 typically ranges between 12.5 and 13.0 L/100km on long GCC highway runs, though stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh will see this rise significantly. Maintenance follows BMW's Condition-Based Service system, with typical minor service intervals every 12,000 to 15,000 km at authorized centers like AGMC or Abu Dhabi Motors. This model historically retains approximately 60–65% of its value after three years in the GCC market, performing slightly better than the X5 M due to its more exclusive 'Coupe SUV' body style.

Performance & Capability

Propelled by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8, the X6 M Competition hits 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, a figure that ensures effortless overtaking on the E11 and E311 motorways. The 750 Nm of torque is managed by a rear-biased xDrive system that provides maximum traction even on heat-soaked asphalt. With a 213 mm ground clearance, it manages urban obstacles and sandy shoulders with ease, though its 21 and 22-inch wheels are optimized strictly for high-speed road use rather than off-road terrain.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for high-speed travel, featuring four-zone automatic climate control to combat the extreme GCC summer heat. The M-specific seats are both heated and ventilated, ensuring comfort during long drives between cities. Despite the sloping roofline, the interior remains quiet and insulated, while the Harman Kardon audio system provides a high-fidelity soundtrack to compete with the V8’s natural engine note.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the M Competition includes a full ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and front collision warning, which are essential for navigating the fast-moving highway traffic of the UAE. The 360° Surround View camera system is standard, making the vehicle's wide proportions manageable in tight urban parking. Active protection systems, including rollover sensors and a comprehensive airbag arrangement, provide peace of mind for family use.

The bottom line

This X6 M Competition is the ideal choice for a performance enthusiast who wants the presence of a supercar in a versatile SUV body. It offers a well-documented mechanical history and a rare colorway that ensures it won't be lost in the crowd.
