Summary

This 2023 GAC GS4 GL offers a highly attractive balance of low mileage and modern features, having covered only 31,000 km in two years—well below the typical GCC annual average. Finished in a professional Black exterior, it maintains excellent resale appeal in the local market where darker executive tones remain popular for crossovers. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is purpose-built to handle the region's intense summer heat with a robust air conditioning system and local warranty support through authorized dealers like Gargash. For buyers seeking a tech-focused family SUV that bridges the gap between value-driven Chinese engineering and premium comfort, this listing represents a very sensible opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2023 GAC GS4s

With just 31,000 km on the clock, this GS4 has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen across the UAE and KSA. The Black exterior is a strong choice for the secondary market, consistently ranking among the top three colors for value retention in the GCC. Compared to other units of the same year, this vehicle presents as a low-use example that has primarily served for light city commuting.

GL vs Lower Trims

The GL trim serves as the high-specification choice, adding essential luxury and technology features that GCC buyers value most. Unlike the base GS or GB trims, the GL includes a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, premium leatherette upholstery, and a higher-quality soft-touch dashboard finish. It also upgrades the cabin with a more advanced 8-inch integrated infotainment system and a power sunroof, providing a more executive feel compared to the standard models.

GS4 vs Segment Rivals

The GS4 leads rivals like the Haval H6 and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro by offering one of the largest boot capacities in the compact segment at 470 liters. Its 1.5L turbocharged engine delivers a more refined power delivery via a 6-speed automatic, avoiding the jerky low-speed shifts often found in competitors' dual-clutch systems. Additionally, GAC’s engineering focus on NVH sound insulation makes it one of the quietest cabins for long highway drives between the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is a standout feature, with a combined rating of 6.8 L/100km that makes it an economical choice for daily commutes in stop-start traffic. GAC has a strong presence in the GCC through established partners like Gargash in the UAE and Aljomaih in KSA, ensuring parts availability and professional servicing. The 2023 model maintains a predictable depreciation curve, typically retaining more value than newer, less-established Chinese brands due to GAC's consistent J.D. Power quality awards.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces a healthy 166 hp and 265 Nm of torque, providing plenty of punch for overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. It reaches a top speed of 180 km/h with high-speed stability supported by an independent multi-link rear suspension—a hardware feature often sacrificed for cost in this segment. The 6-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth urban driving, ensuring comfort during heavy traffic periods in Dubai or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring powerful automatic air conditioning with dedicated rear vents to ensure all five passengers stay cool during the summer months. High-quality soft-touch materials and leather-wrapped armrests elevate the interior beyond a typical value crossover. Practicality is enhanced by second-row seats that can fold flat, expanding the cargo area to 1,410 liters for weekend road trips or large grocery runs.

Safety

Safety is prioritized with a suite of active systems including Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control, and a 180-degree rear-view camera with active guidelines for easy parking in tight mall spaces. This trim also includes a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Hill Start Hold Control, which are essential for safe driving across the varied terrain of the GCC. Multiple airbags and a high-strength steel unibody provide a solid foundation for family protection.

The bottom line

This low-mileage, GCC-spec GS4 GL is a perfect fit for a family or professional looking for a modern, tech-rich SUV that still has the majority of its service life ahead.
