Summary

This 2023 Kia Stinger GT represents the final production year of a modern performance icon, making it a unique opportunity for enthusiasts in the GCC. Finished in a distinctive Green that stands out on the road, this American-spec model offers the potent 3.3L twin-turbo engine paired with All-Wheel Drive for exceptional stability on fast-moving highways. With 39,000 km, the mileage is well within the typical annual range for the region, suggesting it has been used primarily for light commuting. While it rivals premium European sportbacks, it does so with lower long-term maintenance complexity and the backing of a massive regional service network. For a buyer looking for a high-performance daily driver that manages the summer heat as well as it does the open road, this final-edition Stinger is a compelling choice.

This Car vs Other 2023 Stingers

At 39,000 km, this Stinger is tracking closely to the average annual mileage expected for performance sedans in the UAE and Saudi markets. While many American-spec imports arrive with significantly higher wear, this example’s mileage suggests a more preserved mechanical life. The Green exterior is a rare and characterful choice that differentiates it from the common white and silver fleet, often appealing to collectors eyeing this as a final-year model.

GT vs Lower Trims

The GT trim is a significant mechanical leap over the 4-cylinder GT-Line, swapping the 2.5L engine for the 3.3L twin-turbo V6. Beyond the massive power increase, this trim adds performance essentials like high-performance Brembo brakes and a launch control system. For the GCC climate, it also includes higher-tier cabin tech and improved cooling capacity to manage the extra heat generated by the twin-turbo setup.

Stinger vs Segment Rivals

The Stinger GT is frequently cross-shopped with the Audi S5 Sportback and BMW 440i Gran Coupe. It leads the segment in value-for-performance, offering a 0-100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds that rivals the Germans at a fraction of the out-of-warranty maintenance cost. Its hatchback configuration provides 406 liters of boot space, making it more practical for weekend trips across emirates than traditional three-box sedans.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.3L AWD variant typically sits around 10.9 L/100km, which is efficient for a high-output V6 during long-distance highway cruising between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Kia maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the GCC, including Al Tayer and Premier Motors in the UAE, ensuring parts availability. As the final model year, the Stinger is expected to follow a unique depreciation curve, potentially retaining value better than previous years due to its discontinued status.

Performance & Capability

The 370 hp twin-turbo V6 allows for effortless high-speed overtaking, a necessity on fast-flowing GCC motorways. The All-Wheel Drive system is particularly useful for maintaining traction during the occasional heavy rain or on sandy shoulder surfaces. With a verified top speed of 270 km/h, it offers a level of performance usually reserved for vehicles twice its price.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-distance GT cruising, featuring five seats and a driver-centric cockpit. Standard climate features are robust, designed to combat high ambient temperatures, complemented by premium leather surfaces and intuitive tech. The hatchback design allows for easy loading of large items, bridging the gap between a sports car and a family commuter.

Safety

This Stinger comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Forward Collision Mitigation and Blind-Spot Warning, which is invaluable for multi-lane highway driving. It also features lane-keeping assistance and adaptive cruise control, reducing driver fatigue during long desert stretches. The model has historically maintained a 5-star safety rating from international testing bodies.

The bottom line

Perfect for the enthusiast who wants supercar-level acceleration and daily-driver reliability, this final-year Stinger GT is a rare find in a standout color.
